No it isn't. The election isn't over, but if Biden wins the election it was a good election for Democrats. Only a handful of months ago they were told they had no chance at the senate, and they likely will pick up a seat or two. It isn't a blue wave, but that was really overblown to anyone paying attention.

If the Biden campaing are saying they flipped Arizona and Fox News and AP called it......Im confident that Biden will keep Arizona.
Looking at the map and the counties...a lot of the outstanding votes left are from big urban areas and cities. I mean Trump can still win in Nevada and AZ which would massively change things...but if he doesn't... We could start calling those Sun Belt states the Blue Belt if Biden wins AZ and NV too..
I know they always do it but Democrats actually helped them this time around. We had a major party candidate and a series of down ballot Democrats openly brand their policies as socialist and tried to compare us to socialist countries in Europe. And while those comparisons are valid, there are people in the US who come from authoritarian left wing countries. Even immigrants from democratic socialist countries (like India for example) don't really care for it anymore. I have little issue with the policy ideas. I'm just saying that Left Wing/Progressive Democrats have to stop embracing the term. It's a black mark on anyone. We spent the entire Cold War arguing that communism was the worst thing ever so lets just leave terms like socialism and communism in the dust bin for now. Just focus on saying that you'll expand medicare or medicaid and that student debt relief is to give young people a chance to live the american dream/pull up their boostraps or whatever classic American phrase you want to use. How you phrase things matters. Voters may not have thought that Biden was a socialist but there is a group of Democrats that embrace that term.
How is that thinking critically? You have no facts, just pure speculation. All you did was post a bipartisan opinion piece. Neither you nor I are at these polling places so we don't know what's going on. And isn't there members from both parties observing the counting?
Thanx for explaining. Then what is the problem? It seems a fair and completely democratic system that compromises population proportionality without excluding rural states. The senate on the other hand seems another story. But I don't see the problem with the electors. As far I know most countries over here have similar systems with proportionality. So long as the electoral votes keep getting updated with the census. Why are people complaining?
So, I would advise not buying into the twitter and memes about the election. WI allows same day registration. So they don't know how many registered on election day to vote. You may not like the voting laws of some states, but the fact that citizens followed the laws and voted means their ballots should be counted. Also, how does something mailed in not have a postmark. I would wait for reliable reports rather than jumping on the people crying about being cheated because votes are being counted.
#1 the "sharpie gate" has already been proven to be false (like almost all of the Trump crap he posts or claims) #2 the crap in the article about 100,000+ votes magically appearing in Michigan has also been disproven. #3 So you basically are left speculating that a water leak was done on purpose in Georgia and you just don't believe the results coming out of Wisconsin. Both candidates can still win, I am surprised by the Republican crying starting so early, at least wait until the votes are all in.
Nevada is a weird one. Nevada actually has poor levels of bachelors degrees. That's a working class state that should be Trump territory. The reason why Democrats win it is because Harry Reid and the casino unions built a machine in Clark County. But even that machine can fail if Democrats don't focus on repairing relations with the working class. The suburban pivot got Biden the win but Democrats aren't winning legislative majorities in the long run if they don't fix this.
I hope the rock shows up, grabs trump by his marbled belly fat, and throws his sloppy ass out through the front door of the White House when this is over.
Are you new to this? Those states are usually Blue, that's why they have been part of the whole "Blue Wall" thing. It really should not be some shock and surprise if Biden wins them back, the shock and surprise was that Trump won them in the first place. The main reason Dems felt confident in Biden over ANY other candidate is because he was built to win there. If the voting says 9/10 people voted for Biden in an area then that's what happened. It didn't pass the smell test when the Lakers started to drain threes against us but that's what happened. Get over it.
