If he takes PA, he wins as well.

if he takes GA, he sits at 269

Thanks. Yes, I’m sure after the dust settles there will be a chunk of Republicans in the senate who breathe a sigh of relief thankful that they don’t have to run constant damage control for Trump anymore.

Considering the source, I doubt it was 100% a joke. To be clear, I wasn’t necessarily calling you out. And I wasn’t telling you to grow up. That was directed at the “author” of that tweet.

so my apologies. Ignorant Twitter nonsense triggers me.

Electoral votes are based on the states members of congress (everyone has two senators + however many members of the house of representatives the state has). California has 55 electoral votes. Far and away the most of any state. California only became a state in the 1840s.

The country only started with a handful of states (roughly the 13 colonies) and then added states over the years as territories applied for statehood until 1959 when Hawaii and Alaska were admitted as the last two states.

So, yes, its roughly population based.

Also, there's some people that are adamant that AZ is going red, it is historically red, so it's possible

In that scenario, Biden needs to win 2 states, Nevada and one of PA, NC, or GA.

So the preferable scenario of course is that he wins NV and AZ. Hopefully, he'll lock up GA whenever their votes come in and that could be any hour now.

I think we are expecting final counts in AZ and GA today?

The Republican playbook has always been to brand any thing they disagree with as Socialism. They did it with Medicare, SS, Medicaid, they did it with Obamacare even after the President pointed out he was using a Heritage Foundation plan. Even when he proposed a public OPTION. Or when Bernie ran on expanding Medicare. The Dems have tried to package universal healthcare every way possible. You will never get the Cons to go for it especially as they are receiving plenty of contributions from the Cigna’s and Aetnas.

This country has to be steered very slowly into progress. Right now Biden has an opportunity to build on some momentum from the pandemic. For example Trump had student loans placed on hold and for PSLF folks that meant free forgiveness. Build on that to start forgiving student loan debt.

Slowly steer that ship into free college and universal healthcare.

Maybe you didn't write it down here.......but you might have said it. Sotto voce, in your kitchen.

Can you prove you didn't say it?

    Hopefully
I agree that is. But Trump is going to lose handily with 3 million votes left to cast in California and in big cities throughout the U.S. in states that Trump has won that will make it a much closer margin and cities like Philly, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, Detroit, etc that are 60-70% Biden with 25-30% of the vote to cast.

If I told you you were getting a pony and then I gave you a stuffed animal instead you might be a bit bummed.

This is more like telling you that you were getting a pony but you don't get anything, instead all that happens is your loud neighbor that plays the drums at midnight every night moves out.

Trump Jr dragged his feet and should've declared victory in Michigan before Biden. Now he lost it.

Trump as a lame duck until January will be unbearable...the non-stop crying could reach levels never before seen

he’ll go full on “fck it” mode...what that entails, Idk

You either think critically or you don't, I do. You think a factual piece outlining the scheme of how dems are manipulating the election will come down the very next morning after they did it? It's credible conjecture at this point, but right now this does NOT pass the smell test, and everybody knows it. Hopefully this all gets vetted the way it is supposed to later in court, we'll see.

9/10 registered people voting in WI doesn't pass the smell test either and runs against all reasonable and realistic trends. There's weirdness going on and I never in my life saw results paused overnight only to resume with dramatic flips the next morning.

Pennsylvania accepting mail in ballots up to 3 days after the election, with no postmark, is garbage. The Trump county in AZ where election officials were handing out Sharpies thus invalidating the ballots is suspect. Convenient water main break in GA then at 4am they are moving ballots out of the place. Gimmie a break fools...

Believe what you want, but I have a mind of steel.
