Yes this was just a data error by Decision Desk HQ that they corrected, not the state - I saw a tweet about it but it was pretty boring and honestly i hate that i even know about it/
Fox News called it early too. It was pretty clear early on he wasn't getting Arizona. They announced it at 75% in with most blue-leaning Phoenix area left to be accounted for.
I thought he was being sarcastic, since libs mostly in here bickering about their "failed" candidate...
For those saying that Yang would've been a good candidate we never saw how Yang would face up with Republican attacks. Trump or other Republicans never attacked him because they never felt him a threat worth dealing with. My guess is if he was you would see some pretty ugly smears including ones that were racial. You would also see things like that he will sell us out to the PRC because he's ethnically Chinese. At a time with things like the 'Chinese Virus' and "Kung Flu" and a lot anger towards the PRC those things might've worked.
From what I heard, the Dems had their speaker ready to roll too. I think they were shocked by the outcome.
I get where you and SamFisher are coming from. It's just in 2016 Hillary won the popular vote by 3 million and we still got Trump. How do you get people like my siblings to not dismiss QAnon conspirators for the sake of tax cuts and at least vote Republicans that are for a fair democratic process? Like my siblings don't believe in QAnon. But they sure do vote for people that associate with them. You'd think that'd be an easy vote to get with all the batshit crazy stuff said on social media by some of these candidates that have won state re-elections, but nope. It's still about tax cuts and party loyalty. Maybe my family will never change and think they're right. Perhaps I just gotta accept that. It's just those voters like my siblings embolden corrupt members within their own party. They don't outright say they're for gerrymandering and voter suppression. But they sure do vote for those candidates once every 2 to 4 years that do the dirty work for them. And I get it. You spend 10 minutes in line and then cast your ballot after a few minutes of staring at a screen. You don't actually get to see the people you vote for butcher the cow to make that prepackaged steak and sausage at the grocery store. You don't gotta do the dirty work of gerrymandering and voter suppression. Every 2 to 4 years you just go to the grocery store, buy your cut of meat, prep it and then... Guilt free.
I agree, though I can't think of another Democrat that can not only handle Shapiro in an interview, but actually win him over with his intellect, even when they disagree. Amazing. I'd personally like our President to have military experience too.
Absolutely on target. Biden was the choice to run because he was the "last man/woman standing." I don't know anyone who wanted him to be the candidate at the top of the ticket. He ended up being who we had and he is terrible at messaging. There is a crystal clear connection between Covid-19 and the economy. Biden couldn't put across that fact consistently in a strong, coherent way. Biden struggles to put any important issue across consistently in a strong coherent way, with one exception. Joe Biden exudes empathy, something trump absolutely doesn't possess at all. However, as welcome as that empathy is, as important as a president having empathy is for the country, especially now, it's not at the top of the list of things a majority of the country cares about the most. Joe Biden has good plans for dealing with Covid-19 and the economy. He just isn't good at communicating them. While people can readily look them up online, that's not how the vast majority get their information during a political campaign. trump spews communication. Yes, they are lies and they come out like a gusher, with the problem for the Democratic ticket and down ballot being that trump literally drowns out Biden's messaging. We needed a man or woman at the top of the ticket who put the truth out there as effectively as trump puts out his lies to the body politic. I don't have a problem with Harris, but Biden, Harris, and the Democratic messaging, the ads, didn't effectively reach America's Hispanic voters, in all their different subsets, as well as Hillary Clinton did. One would hope that this ticket would have done a better job than Ms Clinton. They didn't. Perhaps an Hispanic VP would have been a better choice for the ticket. I could say a lot more, but these are a couple of the things I've been thinking about as we wait to see if trump can get away with stealing the election.
This was definitely the strangest of the many strange happenings last night. I am sure they will figure it out.
