Didn’t look good for Biden after the early results in Florida, but looks like Bob O’Brien is coaching the Trump vote total and they are going 0 for 27 on the mail-in votes in key states.

Looks like Wisconsin is in the bag for Biden. Expect it to be challenged...if it can be.

Personally he is about where I expected him to be (Trump). If you look at a lot of the states that there pollsters said were "pick em", they were states that have leaned conservative. For example Florida. That is a Republican state. It was in 2016 and 2018. The Democrats are not going to win that state against an incumbent Republican President, especially one that resides there. It just wasn't going to happen. Biden has been a little disappointing in places like Michigan and Wisconsin and perhaps Pennsylvania. However, Wisconsin and Michigan are states that are blue collar and Trump speaks directly to them. Those are states that lean red. All things being equal, they will go red. They are states that are socially traditional and some what conservative.

So many people on the left bring up COVID. It is a major issue, but more people have experienced economic loses than have lost family members or friends. So, there is a fear that the democrats will be overly cautious.

For many people, the economy is king, that and a return to normality.

Even if the Democrats only pick up 1-2 seats, it is a victory. It was always going to be very close.

Duh...... they won in 2016 because of their ground game and connections in lower middle class white areas.

It is all within the range of expectations/error.

There wasn't going to be a blue wave, not with democrats supporting economic shut down and COVID fatigue.

please please please get control of the Senate...Biden as President with the Republicans blocking everything he tries to do the next few years is better than the darkest timeline, but would still be a bummer

If Trump is indeed out of office, I wonder if Lindsey Graham stays friends with him.

So why are you so upset?

And why are you already going in on Democrats like there was a perfect formula.

I am just going off the vibe you are putting down.

LOL, we really have some clown in here saying that only gay black men are Democrats.

since we want to use anecdotal evidence, I know too many straight black men to count, and they all vote Democrat, and they aren’t Corey Booker, uppity types like that idiot is saying.

Are Snoop Dogg and Killer Mike gay black males?

You are too over the top brah.

Everyone can see through your self hate.

Embrace your bisexuality, it is who you are.

Nothing wrong with being a bisexual black man on the down low.... that is how God made you....

Just stop the posing, it is too transparent.

Remember when Biden was still somewhat of an afterthought in the primaries, then he got that big win in South Carolina and everyone else folded?
Yeah... not that anyone that remembered 2016 said any different at the time... but, that was dumb.

Lessons from this for Democrats, which they'll probably ignore as they did previously:

    * pick someone that actually stands for something? it doesn't have to be Bernie Sanders... but clearly the "other side"/independents still have no clue what Biden stands for, much less the Democratic party as a whole.

    * Marketing/branding. The Republicans are so far ahead on this its dumb. I think Democrats just thought we'll throw money at it.

While the demographics of their districts help, it's interesting to see how each of the "squad" members wiped the floor against their opponents. Those types of candidates won't turn rural voters... but the type of brand marketing they bring is relevant. Democrats need A LOT of those type of candidates going forward - be it traditional caucasian males, or more likely hispanics...

If Biden was really for this he wouldn't have lost so substantially in Florida. A bunch of progressive ballot measures passed all over the country yet the dems lost seats in the house. Biden trick y'all man.

I was surprised and disappointed when I saw that Covid was like 3rd or 4th on the voters' minds as we collectively voted.

Am I just crazy and totally wrong, but how is Covid and the economy NOT DIRECTLY LINKED. If you really care about the economy, or you have been laid off, furloughed, or taken a financial hit, the root cause is VERY LIKELY Covid. How come the left did not make that abundantly clear?

Trump continually spewed the lie "Joe just wants to close everything down." When in reality, his objective FAILURE at controlling or at least reacting to the virus has led to PROLONGED economic disaster.

I mean for me the correlation is obvious as hell, but I am also probably not the smartest person in the room.

In your world for some reason, just because I’m “going in on Democrats,” that means I’m upset that Trump isn’t winning. U even insinuated I could be a shy Trump voter...

Really? Put some respek on my name Jiggy.

my vibe was nowhere near that

    I’ve already explained my issues

People acting like a solution for the democrats is easy is always weird.

The democratic party is 2 maybe 3 political parties being forced to act as one to fend off the republicans. Until the republican party as we know it is officially put to sleep, it's gonna continue to be a struggle for democrats to please everybody.

It’s been called. There was a fix because they said they had counted too many, but most of the remaining votes are in Dem areas of Maricopa and Tucson.
