Yeah, awful quiet now after last night. I’m sure they’re waiting on Breitbart and OAN to craft the agreed “we wuz robbed” narrative...
Personally wouldn't call him a villain. He is just anarchy and wrath, it's hard for him if he ain't in charge. He doesn't fit in. Power hungry machismo.
It wasn't a blue wave. It was regression to the mean. I'm not really happy with this result. It was underwhelming.
What happens to these Bush era Lincoln Project type Republicans? it seems pretty clear that they are now just a tiny fraction of the party and have no place moving forward Do they just morph into independents?
nope black unemployement pre0covid was excellent, black male crime was lower than at any point under obama. Out of wedlock births were lower than at any point under obama. Another 4 years of trump, and the black male vote would be gone forever.
Trump has done nothing to address that gap. It all has to do with homeownership rates and he hasn't made it any easier for black families to be homeowners. He does superficial orders and signs lay up bills sent to him by congress to appease his racist base into believing they aren't racist. That's his goal for addressing black issues. Not to sincerely help them but to convince his white voters that they and he aren't racist. Trump is also making it significanltly harder on black families by trying to remove pre-existing protections that bankrupt so many black families without those protections. Trump doesn't know anything about the struggles of poor black communties especially how they got there. The "how they got there" part is key to finding the correct solutions. The Democrats at the very least acknowledge these statistics and acknowledge massive homeownership rate discrepancies between black and white families and know exactly how it happened (redlining after ww2). They are far more open to things like reparations for homeownership that are at the root of black issues. Trump also has decimated the k-12 systems in poor black communties with Betsy by concentrating on charter schools and leaving behind the millions that are in tradional schools and not at all addressing the funding issues in poor districts because they are entirely dependent on property taxes. The GOP base loves blaming black poverty on "black culture". Black people aren't going to vote for people who have that mindset of the black community.
What is Trump's argument to the Supreme Court going to be? The mail-in votes didn't favor me so I want them all thrown out? lol
You said it yourself... these trends take more than 4 years to develop... either way. Neither Trump, Obama, or whoever wins now... or in 8 years... is going to be the sole reason things are the way they are.
trump was starting to steal that under 35 black male vote. John James and the Daniel Cameron types will be the future black men going forward, the left can keep their andrew gillum and corey booker types
Ummm. Yeah! Just add a couple of "deep states" in there. My argument to that is if there was a deep state these guys would be waking up with an hunting bow arrow stuck in their chests at the massage parlor's spa. Accidentally of course.
but if trump was racist should they have gotten worse under trump. not only did they get better. black male crime dropped and white crime rose
This is a bad argument from you. You acknowledge that policies take time to have tangible effects for systemic issues. Yet you believe in there years Trump solved the single parent issue in black communties? How do you know that isn't a lagging effect of Obama's policies? The reforms I want acknowledge that they will reap benefits after an entire generation of black kids experience the benefits of those reforms and become adults. So it's going to take more than a decade to see tangible effects from meaningful reform.
