Honestly, Dems with the poor messaging again. Just ask why Trump is trying to take votes away from our armed men and women of the US military, since they vote by mail.

I just needs these dudes to play some offense. Joe doesn't have to declare himself the winner, but for the love of democracy, show your face first. Say exactly what you already know Trump was going to say.

I get the feeling you're venting and I'm just as frustrated the power smaller states have to the point where the Senate looks to be in Republican control. Gerrymandering and voter suppression heightens that frustration, but the principle is still there.

This is one of the few times where "city folk" realize "rural people" exist.

Give them credit for merging interests of republicans living in cities w/ republicans from smaller areas.

If we really are the "60%" majority, I just haven't seen it.

Gonna be real interested in the coming days to see which demographics "didn't show up" or "voted for the other guy"...

People really really like the idea of an autocratic dictatorship here in the US. We just have to stop pretending Trump voters are just ill informed, and especially letting our friends off the hook when they make excuses.

There’s a reason why throughout history like 90% of world leaders have been dictators. People like this sh$t. Nobody was around during WW2 anymore so it’s distant history.

But it just is what it is. Half of America openly loves the idea of a dictatorship.

    Trump is damaging democracy.

But it is odd that they would not just keep counting.

I grew up in Houston so like half of my best friends are Hispanic some 1st and 2nd gen, and I’ll tell you now that it’s not just redneck Proud Boys. Men in general, including Hispanic men, are in love with this type of strongman crap. There are generations throughout history in different societies for different reasons that fall into this obsession so it should be no surprise that it’s here but it’s still sad to see.

Many of my friends were in love with W because they thought he was a badass. That should have been a learning moment about what could come in the future.

Considering we're in a pandemic, there's probably limited staff, safety measures in place, it would make sense to allow people to go home, sleep, come back in the next day or two to finish the counting processes. Maybe I'm crazy, but people should be treated like people

This inferiority complex that rural people have is annoying. Currently in your system in an election a person in a rural state vote counts for more than a "city folk". No matter how you look at it that is stupid. I know that is the way the system is supposed to work, but IMHO that is s broken system. Why would a rural person be more important than a "city folk". Because currently they are.

In general the two party systems is stupid. I creates a extremely polarized society. Even more that in other countries. I really expect a civil war in the US in the near future. I am not saying that the way Dutch democracy is set up is ideal. It has many flaws. But the US system is broken, and Trump is trying to break it even further in a rapid pace.

The biggest problem is that this election proves again to the whole world and every populist that being anti-science and a con man works. This will only strengthen the idiotic populists in the rest of the world.

I really feel for many of the posters here that they have to experience the downfall of a nation.

I'm not sure if it's strong man, or if it's just the pure gluttony of having "my team" take over and do whatever it wants, in America's case. If freedom, separation of powers, and democracy are casualties of keeping power, and a hoard of other awful ****, then the American people and representatives on the right-wing in this country have spoken clear, so be it.

There hasn't been an official winner yet...

The US is a big country with different groups. I'm not sure how it'll end up, but the latest demographic shift is definitely testing traditions and honored practices.

It's crazy to think that without Covid19, Trump probably would have beat Biden convincingly.

I think it looks like Wisconsin might go Trump. Then it’s up to what happens with GA,AZ,MI, and of course PA.

People just got freaked when Florida went to Trump, and thought we could be in a toss up with Texas.

The AP called Arizona but nobody else has that I’ve seen. That one goes a long way because it allows Biden to lose Wisconsin if that happens.

So it’s up in the air but watch GA and AZ to see if those flip blue. Then I think Biden just needs to win one of the three rust belt states.
