I am glad. I wouldn't have taken a 3rd for WF. I don't even think a 2nd would have been enough (for me) either. To me I ask myself one thing about any player who's future here I'm considering; "Is he a piece?" By that I mean is he a piece on a championship-contending team? To me with WF the answer is a resounding YES! If it weren't for his injury history he wouldn't even be up for discussion. Deshaun & this offense play so much better when he's here to take the top off the defense! That's the best news I've heard in quite awhile!!! If only it could be true! Responsible for drafting Russell Wilson! Quenton Nelson & Darius Leonard! (back to back all-pro selections) And the linked story shows a litany of excellent late round selections he's made the last 2-3 years. That's really all we have this year is late round picks!
Good! Did the right thing in standing firm. The pick would have been in the bottom 3rd of the round anyway for a playoff team.
Wow! I love Whitney the man but I would have took a 4th for Whitney the player/contract in a heartbeat!
I'd probably be mad if he were traded for a 2nd even though that's overpay since it's renting Fuller for half a season. On the other hand, I'm most likely gonna be mad at the big contract he'll get if he stays here. He'll get paid like a top 10 wr but he doesn't feel like a dependable guy you can feed targets all game. And that's not even counting his injury risks.
Well I guess you will be happy now that the Texans didn't get any cap rollover or draft picks after WFV walks after next year.
DW4 gets what DW4 wants. I dont want to hear crap from him when there's very little cap space to add FA's or an extra 4th to move up into the 2nd. Next will be Watson picking the HC of his choosing. SMDH
I am quite happy thank you. I am happy that we didn't trade him for a 4th or 5th round pick AND pick up his salary which is what GB wanted, (which btw means you CAN'T roll anything over into next year.) FOH with that bullshit mindset of trade just to trade. We should get a 3rd compensatory worst case anyway.
