It's too late, America is a fractured country. Nothing will ever bring the right and left together - they hate each other more than Russia or anyone else. The only time they are friends is during the Olympics.
Baloney. America is hurting for sure, bruised black and blue maybe. We are not broken or doomed. Just need people to put down the self-righteous, eternally butt hurt, hyperbolic, eyes-wide-shut internet crusades. Lobbing insults and fallacies at another person isn't how you treat people. Not in person, not online, NOT. ESPECIALLY when your objective is to somewhat prove to them your way or belief or whatever you're speaking for is worthwhile. You have to see it from their side, whether you like it or not. You have to show them it's ok. You have to be calm and smart about it. You know what's crazy about being middle of the road on the political spectrum? Everyone thinks they're against you while you take what's good from either side and let the extremes be too far. You believe in many of the same things as most people do and somehow they all think you're against them. It's silly but it's absolutely true.
For all I know, she might be very qualified for the position but comon people. Having the CEO of WWE as the secretly of commerce is a parody itself. Who would have knew that the movie 'idiocracy' would be so relevant.
Frankly, all of them, and the Republican party as a whole, threatens the well-being of far too many marginalized people in this country, from LGBT to poor; from the elderly to African-Americans. Their rhetoric is too often hateful, narrow-minded, archaic, and seeped in religious dogma . I (briefly) admired Cruz for what he did during the RNC; I've never liked him - but he's always been true to who he is and his speech during the convention underscored that. Unfortunately, he threw it all away months later so he could grovel for re-admittance into the club. Kasich I still admire for not only never publicly endorsing Trump but for essentially disappearing. It took balls to, as a governor, blow off your party's convention being held in your own state. But his policies and social agenda are too scary for me to view him as anything other than the thinnest kid at fat camp.
Been reading through last election posts and you guys absolutely nailed it. How did people not see this **** show coming.
And I have no regret saying that even though I had campaigned for Hillary Clinton and donated hundreds of dollars to her campaign. I will say the same thing after this election that we need to find a way to live together as Americans. If Biden does win I would hope that supporters of Trump will take the same attitude and move on from bitterness and give Biden a chance.
But we all know they won't, Trump has set us back 50 years with his shenanigans. The country is inflamed with ignorance.
