I am a supporter of immigration and giving people opportunities, but this is absurd and the truth is, that if this was going on in the USA, it would not be tolerated. The USA is better with immigrants in my experience, but what I have seen in Europe is simply unacceptable. I have seen discrimination against Muslims in Western Europe, but I have also seen lots of criminal behavior by Muslims in places like London and Paris and parts of Sweden and even Norway. I have seen groups of Muslim men go up to single women and grab and grope them. I have seen Muslim immigrants hitting old people in the streets.

I do not have a great solution, and I wish that I could say that it is as simple as Muslims being picked on.... but it isn't. I have seen and heard many Muslims express ZERO desire to become French or German or English.... they want the money they receive, and they then look down upon those that are French, German and English as being non believers.

Any defense at all of those idiots that killed the cartoonists or the supporters of the murders are disgusting and out of bounds.

 

The immigration thread didn't get any traction during the past weeks, so my update there went under the radar.

German police released new crime statistics for 2015-2019 and they are quite shocking:

Although asylum seekers only make up 1/50th of the German population, they committed 13.3% of assaults with grievous bodily harm and 14.9% of murder&homicide since 2015.

This is absolutely nuts and shows how severe the recent immigration issues have become, politicians have really failed us.

 

Is the failure allowing in asylum seekers, or not doing a better job integrating the asylum seekers into society to keep the number that turn to crime must lower?

 

We're under attack.

 

They honestly have it pretty good in most of Germany and have access to German language and culture courses (my sister in law was a teacher for one of these), priority rights for apprenticeships and jobs, but it's just a fact that many of these people don't give a flying F about our values or integration.

Several of the refugees in my sis in law's class for example weren't willing to shake her hand and looked down on her, simply because she was a woman and is seen as trash in their culture. I've also seen refugee wives here having to carry their husband's grocery bags while walking behind their men.

I also first-hand know several refugees that vocally complain about our culture and tell people to stop celebrating Christmas or that we are fools for not following Islam.

Especially with the youth and young adult males you'll see them ganging up on others and behaving like total dicks, harassing females etc, you have these rape and assault cases daily here, also them threatening police.

Yes integration isn't handled perfectly, but a large number of refugees are just bad apples and will never accept our cultural norms or behave.

The fact that immigration as a policy is a partisan debate is ridiculous. Border shutdowns in a radically left wing nation should be a warning sign. Nobody wants to validate any position that echoes the right wing, its so frustrating to see.

I see. It is just a matter of setting a hard cap for many refugees are accepted, or is there a feasible screening process by which those who are against liberal values can be rejected?

 

It should be a red flag when the majority of asylum seekers are young adult men without families.

 

An event has to prove that religion is incorrect or correct

1. Either real religious people come back to the world and prove that they are really super natural
2. Advanced humanoid aliens appear around the world and explain to us that these religious figures were just them and humans were just a biological cross between them and ancient monkeys

We got into the majority of this mess because Merkel basically invited refugees to come to Germany and refused to close borders, going against demands of several politicians and party members.

So during the first refugee wave where a million+ plus flooded the borders, we actually did ZERO background checks and let everyone in, even people without a passport.
A friend of mine is a social worker and says he basically daily had cases where refugees were to visit his office but vanished and were never heard from again.

It's better now, but seeing as there are already millions in, it's way too late.

Regarding refugees losing their cases and being legally required to leave, there's an insane amount of loopholes that gets abused.
For example, in a lot of cases the refugees are given an extraction date and therefore vanish on the day of their extraction. Another tactic is to say you are feeling really ill in order to avoid extraction on that day, afterwards they are never heard from again.

You can also appeal the court decision basically an infinite number of times, so a lot of these people are in a legal limbo for years and never have to leave.

Then, especially in the case of African countries, the governments simply refuse to take back the refugee and leave Germany in a moral dilemma where they aren't willing to just send em off.
