Surprised there hasn't been a thread created for this show. Just finished watching the first episode and it was fscking brilliant! The acting, storyline and soundtrack were fantastic. I can only hope the entirety of the two seasons are equally good. Streaming on Prime Video.
I hate to say it, but they lost me early in Season 2. I watched the first season on Starz(?) and really enjoyed it, but I waited almost a year before watching the second. It got to be confusing (probably because I had forgotten so much) and I just lost interest. JK Simmons is a great actor though.
Watched the 1st season on Starz. And like you it took forever for the 2nd season....and I lost interest and didn't follow up. I did like the concept of the show and JK was awesome. I just lost interest. I think if they would have followed up 6 months later, instead of a year, I might have stuck with it. But other stuff got in the way.
Great points! There are so many shows that wait sooooo long before coming out with the next season (looking at you Stranger Things!)...I think many viewers lose steam during the wait.
I watched it during Covid quarantining and thought it was eerie that I think the 4th or 5th episode it showed a post virus world, as we were living through a present one. All in all, the first season was great and I petered off in the second season I think.
