I feel like we will get outbid for Turner and Aaron Gordon. Something realistic seems like EGO to Magic for Aminu (2 yr/20 remains) and Bamba (2 yr/13.5 remains w/team option). Magic get a combo guard who can score and defend while Rockets get some depth, shorter contracts, and shot at potential blue chip bust. Maybe Silas can bring some of the Mavs frontcourt touch and unlock Bamba in this scenario.
If EGo package not enough for AG then I'd rather go in other direction and use EGo package to trade for Oubre. we cannot trade our FRP. Super important to remember that. we only have 2022 and 2023. one of those cant be moved bc of the stipien rule. Also you dont wanna trade it incase Russ and Harden call it quits in 1 year. Now u are without a draft pick until 2027. Not a good idea trading any of our first round picks
Any trade after next season for Harden or even Russ, would have multiple picks coming back. If Harden commits, I'd have no problem giving up picks. And remember, I'm targeting players 26 and under in all the above trades. These young players are as good as picks, I would argue that they are better than picks. EGO for Aminu is possible, perhaps even probable if Stone pushes for it. I won't go for it though, because of Aminu's right meniscus tear. Mo Bamba would be out of our reach.
I did propose EGO, House and a pick around the trade deadline for Aaron Gordon provided if they have regained their trade value, but I feel it won’t be enough.
Going to need to add FRP and/or a better player. Plus the Russ trades are fun but unrealistic THIS season. So Rockets need players that can run with Russ and push pace even faster. @D-rock @ApacheWarrior This isn't a trade proposal, but I'm all for signing Harry Giles if he is fit, even with his ACL/ MCL history. He is so talented, his IQ is off the charts for his age. He doesn't have a jumper, but his passing and height helps him get away with it. He isn't afraid of contact despite being thin. Way better than Bruno. Dragen Bender is better than Bruno, but he is a softy. If Giles isn't fit , go after Noel. No need to make trades here, for young PF/ Centers.
