2nd year of Chris Paul when everything went to sheet during the offseason. He probably wanted Ariza back and Tillman said he didn't have the funds. The forcing of Westbrook was the icing on the cake. Do y'all honestly think Morey didn't know the repercussion of that tweet. A guy who thinks 10 steps ahead didn't think that through? That was his way out of the contract and the past year was his example of going through the motions. He probably wants Tilman to sell the team. I wouldn't be surprised if Morey found a way to buy this team eventually and I hope he does. Tilman is running this team to the ground.
I have an insider who actually knows the answer to this question instead of all these haphazard guesses. His name is Cyberx....unfortunately I tried to get hold of him and the message I got back was that he was in Philly.
So this begs the question...did Murry pull a T-Mac? Murry quit on Houston. Case closed. He moved on and so should we.
hard to say when he FIRST thought of it or what was the final straw. I'd say the first thought must've been when tilman wouldn't pay the tax to bring back the 65 win team. I think Tilman's handling of the Hong Kong tweet was the final straw.
How have you had an account here since 2002, Patrick? I guess you Fertitta's really are hometown fans.
Ironic, it doesn't seem like you've moved on, because that was 2009 and you still hold on to the jilted ex-girlfriend narrative that some fans run with. TMac was never the same and was out the league shortly after that surgery. He made $160M before it and $2.7M after that. Seems a bit egotistic to think he did it to spite the Rockets. And Morey ain't on the downside of his career, either.
Morey would gave pulled a Tmac if he went on vacation unannounced and did do minimal work before resigning.
Good thing you pointed that out. Why did Clutchfans condemn T-Mac for quitting on the Rockets and not Morey? Is it because they handled it differently? To me it's all ultimately the same, they both quit on the team and the city. But that's all history now. Point is Murry is a 76er now and will be eating cheese steaks instead of tacos, so why are we even talking about him?
We’re talking about him because I for one am praising him for being a boss that he is. And so are plenty of others. Why are you talking about him. Oh that’s right making up dumb correlations. You’re in this thread posting. Notice what the thread title is. Why are we even talking about him? What a dumb question
I think he wasn't happy with that trade but Harden was also driving it. I think MDA leaving was the final straw though. With him, Morey must have realized that this experiment wasn't going to work if MDA was bailing ship and figured it was time to move on.
Since he said he was leaving to spend time with his family. To sign with Sixers, apparently Morey traded his family and threw in the Sixers next 2 first round picks to get it done.
Yeah but Murry is no longer a Rocket, he's a 76er now. Yall criticize Lin fans for talking about Lin when he was no longer a Rocket, how is this different? I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of this board. Yall ostracized T-mac for quittin, so why ain't yall mad at Murry for quittin when he was still under contract and then lying about it in a full page ad then going to work for another team that he had been talking to previously?
Clutch is the one and only really. Btw, you should remove CF OG In your profile according to your logic.
Please compare: How long has it been since Moreys departure versus Lin What was Lins contribution to the Rockets How long was Lins tenure with the Rockets vs Morey Did Morey have a legion of strange nationalist fans who were only here for him specifically Seek and you shall find answers to your questions that are quite simple
