I hope you're right. A lot of barely qualified and unqualified weirdos have been placed on the federal bench in the last several years. That's well-documented.

I tell you what -- if this isn't the endgame, I'm not looking forward to seeing what is.

Pretty much this. Its not to say this would never happen if not challenged, but I think some need to take a chill pill.

If the entire nation does not already know, they won't care about this.

Its trending all over twitter with hundreds of thousands of responses.....If the supreme court threw out 125k votes that would be the biggest story of the election cycle. Do you realize we're talking about 125k votes?

This is the BEST THING to happen for Democrats.

Not trying to be funny but just because its trending all of twitter means nothing to the entire nation, all of these tactics have been trending over twitter.

This would definitely not be the biggest story of the election cycle, there will be more stories about this type of thing and it will be one on many.

How will this be best thing when it will be after the election and stuff like this has already happened?

Do you understand what we're talking about here? 127k votes that have already been counted? Its not making mainstream media because the thought of it is too far fetched because it would be political suicide for the Texas republicans.

Invalidating drive-through voting is anti-automobile and thus anti-American. Exxon Mobile is laying off thousands thanks to Texas GOP hating cars.

I understand exactly what we are talking about and I understand that Abbot already got away with taking away ballot boxes and it was also trending on Twitter.

The thought is not to far fetched its been talked about for months now.

It seems you might want to read up on all the ****ery that has been going on in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

This. And there's not even a fig leaf to justify it; it's about as naked as voter suppression can get.

Eh, you have to win the election overwhelmingly in order to change the court system. If this gets passed on Monday, it's not like the state Supreme Court is going to overrule it. And if USSC is packed, it's not like they'd over rule it. And if it gets passed in Texas, there's no reason it won't be used as precedent to remove other drive thru voting ballots in other states that have Republican partisan judges whose elections are closer than they'd like it to be. Why couldn't other Republican judges throw out drive-thru ballots in primarily Democratic counties like this if it gets passed? It's not like if they got contested and appealed by the USSC, that they'd overrule it. And since the USSC would likely rule in favor of this judge, it's entirely possible a new precedent has been set to affect election outcome on a national level, instead of just a single martyred county.

You gotta win first in order to make the kind of change you're talking about it. This is an attempt to suppress that, that could very well work unless these judges actually have a conscience, which we know they don't.

This is the kind of stuff worth protesting over and why the 2nd Amendment was created. Not over whether someone feels their rights are infringed by wearing a mask at a ****ing Costco. The fact that this is even being attempted is disgusting.

EDIT: Also Kavanaugh has already demonstrated he'd be for ending vote counts on Election night. Let's say this does get appealed and taken the USSC and the USSC actually rejects the notion of casting aside 117k votes and says they're valid, but the court ruling is done after November 3rd. Do you count those votes still? Let me rephrase that question. Do you really think a packed USSC would count those votes? Do you really think if those votes determined whether Trump would lose after November 3rd that he'd just give up his seat over to Biden because he believes in the democratic process that much?

Also, if this judge does decide to cast aside 117k votes on Monday without hearing Harris County's rebuttal, it may not entirely affect the national election when it comes to the Presidency, but it could determine whether Hagar wins over Cornyn, which is also a huge deal. If you want to change the court system, you need upsets like Hagar at Senate to make that happen. This is an attempt to suppress that outcome.
