This is actually something to riot over. Not that I condone rioting.

Funny. As if people in a traditional red state already didn't feel like their votes counted. This year, it really does, though.

Any judge that approves this should be disbarred and then publicly lynched.

I don't know enough about this judge but given that this has been a rule for awhile already approved by the TX secretary of state I have a hard time seeing how this stand.

    Blood is boiling.

Isn't there any law that describes the approved voting procedure in Texas?
    Isn't curbside voting included?

The entire Republican Party deserves to walk in the political wilderness until it has the balls to reform itself. I hope like crazy Texas goes blue Tuesday night, and Biden is our president come January.

Actions like this are disgusting and infuriating. If you can’t win fair and square, accept your defeat like an adult and make the appropriate adjustments for the next election. Anyone still supporting the Republican Party and the Trump Administration needs their head examined, and I wish they would leave the country because they are ruining it for everyone else. The Republican Party claims to be about Christian values, but stunts like this are the exact opposite of how Jesus acted and his message in the Bible.

The Texas Supreme Court refuse to stop it. It was approved by the Texas Secretary of State. The Federal Judge should follow Texas Law and that why it would be overturned on Appeal.

Clearly Texas GOP thinks you're wrong, otherwise, why try it?

The problem is for them.....even if they the federal judge goes their way, it is clearly approved by the State of Texas and the Texas Supreme Court. If it would make to the US Supreme Court, they have shown to favor State Law.

Under normal circumstances, I would agree. However, under these circumstances...where the Ninth Circuit won't even uphold its own weeks-old precedent to not make changes to election law too close to the date of an election (i.e. not disallowing Abbott's ballot drop box limitation) and when it rules inconsistently favoring Republicans each time...I am far more uncertain. The saving grace is the prior Texas Supreme Court ruling which didn't halt drive-thru voting, but who knows if that will be respected right now. For the rule of law to mean anything, it had better.

Because they have the lawyers on retainer...........

Thats completely different then throwing out 120k votes a day before election day. You guys stress yourself way too much, All this does is show the voters in Texas who the republicans really are and will put Abott race really in the spotlight in 2 years.

This is a win win situation for Texas democats. Its a beautiful Saturday the weekend before Trump gets voted out. Go get drunk. The democrats will control all thee chambers for the 2nd time in 30 years.

    I read this
the US Supreme Court have advanced a theory that only explicit state legislative action, and not state court interpretation of state legislation, can have any say in voting.

The Texas Secretary of State, who runs State Elections, approved the plan by Harris County. The SoS followed Texas Election law.
