He also talks a little about the Stephen Silas hire.

without a doubt you do it but Morey trading for westbrick is a absolute joke. Only in our dreams would he do Tilman that favor

It would be an excellent trade for us. But there's zero chance Philly does this trade.

The whole point of Philly potentially trading Embiid is to give Simmons more room to operate. They don't want to swap a center clogging the lane for a PG clogging the lane.

You don’t think he’s too slow to run with Harden?

I don't even think about it. Probably would thank them a millions times before hanging up.

Westbrook and Simmons on the same team...exactly the type of tandem a quality GM would want.

Harden doesn't need to run, he can f**k people in the half court all he wants.

He’s not fast, but he pushes the ball ahead a lot. He used to loveeeee those outlet lobs to CC down the middle. And even in the half court, there is speed.

Embiid would slow it down. I can’t see them having a connection like CC/Harden. I could see the in and out ball working. I thought this trade was decent when I thought we were getting JVG and the offense would be much slower.

no he doesn't. harden has always played at his own pace, which isn't fast at all. harden has always been a half court player since hes been here. he's an isolation player for a reason and going on 31 that isn't changing

Again, he may not run full court often, but for years he has benefited from a center that ran so he could push it ahead. It’s part of his load management strategy, I think.

And when he is in the half court, he likes to clear out and attack down hill after some dribbles at top of the key (when he isn’t doing 1000 step backs a game), or he likes to pick and roll up high.

That’s not traditional “fast” but the point is I don’t think Embiid runs any of those plays thar Harden benefits from. Westbrook and Embiid seems like a better fit.

No it isnt. That’s just part of CC running the floor. Because if it isn’t a dunk or layup, CC isn’t scoring Embiid is one of the more mobile centers in the league. With a plethora ways of scoring on the floor. He isn’t slowing anything harden does down. Cause harden doesn’t play fast anyway. Embiid’s game is actually more conducive to harden’s. They could absolutely wreck you together in the half court w/ embiids versatility

Embiid is not slow, he can play with Harden. The main problem with him is his fitness. He also expects to have more scoring opportunities than anyone else, and gets annoyed when he doesn't have the ball.
This happens with all stars. I think he can adjust to Harden and vice versa.
Fitness is the key here. I don't think it's going to happen at all. Brand won't let him go for Russ.

This is one of the most idiotic trade proposals. Why would morey do this????? There is no fit between Westbrook and Simons...

Last season was the worst Westbrook has ever been.

    lol lol lol lol

Stone should call Morey on Monday and propose this deal. Morey then counters that he wants our 2024 and 2026 picks as well (the picks we traded for Westbrook) and tells Tillman that he will need to duck the luxury tax for at least another 1-2 years because Embiid has a longer contract.
