Dantoni joining Nash's staff in Brooklyn. Lol. 76ers only wanted him in the very beginning because they knew Morey was coming and for that reason they felt they could get James Harden. Once Doc became available Dantoni became irrelevant. All this bs about him being able to coach in Indiana or New Orleans lmfao. His agent hyped all that bs up. Dantoni ain't ****. Tillman Fertitta didn't fall for none of this BS. Silas is the better option. The picture is getting more clear as the moves keep happening.
So weird seeing all these homers sipping their koolaid and thinking the Rockets (Tillman) can do no wrong. I guess this is how politics works as well. Just spin, spin, and more spin.
Morey saw playground is over and went with elsewhere. If you look closer on some of his hires it is clear there were under table deals everywhere
Brooklyn hired the whole 2000’s PHX era core That’s like if we hired Yao and Mac as coaches.... and then brought in JVG lol
Tillman is cheap no doubt but on the other side of that he has a low tolerance for gimmick bs that embarrasses the brand. He will ultimately realize nba business is uniquely handled in terms of it's own set apart practices and standards but one thing I do like is he doesn't F around. If something or someone isn't cutting it bottom line wise or doesn't want to adjust or change in order to get better results then bye... F'em. It was time to move on from the philosophy we were forcing and things were getting ridiculous. Conform to what it really takes to win and move on from hypothesizing and let's get back to solid principles and successful solutions.
Sweet maybe i'll run into d'antoni in Brooklyn and say thank you for everything he's done for Houston.
