Agree completely on bringing back Bruno. But need to act soon or Morey will snatch him up, same with Jeff Green.
‘I completely missed that part. So now Hawk fan and Bra say that Turner is a target. Is my number one option going to happen? Russ/Burke Harden/ Ben Ariza/Nwaba RoCo/ pj / MKG Turner/Bruno That’s a championship team. No holes.
Going home to Indiana intrigues him. And opting out next season with lower salary cap is not smart, especially after coming off another injury. I personally would rather have Gordon Hayward over Myles Turner. But Hayward is former All Star and at 6'7 can do it all when 100% - score, create, distribute, 3ball, defend Hayward is better than EGo/House package even with FRP attached. Brogdon Oladipo Hayward Warren Sabonis That is an elite offensive team. Plug in EGo & House, not so much.
RoCo + fillers (Rivers if he opts in, if not Nwaba and Clemons) for Turner TP MLE 3/18 for Maurice Harkless, re-sign Jeff Green and call it a wrap. Rotation Westbrook / Mac Harden / Gordon House Tucker / Harkless Turner / Green I like Mo Harkless for our MLE if we can land a center in trade, inconsistent 3PT shooter, sometimes he's off sometimes he's respectable, but always a good defender with a good mix of size/quickness/strength, and always solid finisher at the rim. Another interesting look for a defender would be Josh Jackson, who has looked like a total dud for a top 5 pick, but last year with the Grizz he actually showed a flash of becoming a respectable rotation player with good defense.
Well, that's the only way I see we could get him. Tucker, House + 2022 1st might be a competitive offer, but our 2022 1st is seriously valuable if (when) Harden asks out or walks in FA. Covington and Turner are extremely similar players production wise, what differs is their physical tools. RoCo is much lighter, can move much better on for perimeter D, Turner is much larger, can hold down bigs. Both are 3&D super role players who will give you 12 & 6 with a couple of blocks and or steals. Turner is over 5 years younger as well. The incentive for both team is the change is the physical profiles, Houston wishes RoCo we're bigger and could man the middle, Pacers wish Turner was smaller and could hold 4's on the perimeter with Sabonis at the 5. The question is for Houston, who are we matching up against, is it the Lakers/Nuggets? If so, Turners over RoCo is a smart move.... but if it's the Warriors/Clippers? The opposite. But regardless, MDA and Morey are gone, I have a feeling Tillman is a bit embarrassed by the failure of ultra-small ball against the Lakers, and will likely want our starting C to be taller than 6'5 next year. I'm down for that swap, especially with Turner's age, we'd just need to really focus on bringing in some perimeter defenders with RoCo gone, and PJ being 35. Rockets would have to take some flyers on cheap guys and hope someone sticks, guys like Nwaba, Moute or FA's like Harkless, J.Jackson, Shaq Harrison, Bazemore etc
