When AD got traded last year we all knew he was a great player top 10 but not a top 5 super super star. Kawhi when he got traded wasn’t looked at as a top 5 player but he for sure was in everyone’s top 10. That Raptors chip pushed Kawhi to top 5 nba player

Love the comparison to Westbrook and not only is the elite defensive ability the only difference but the huge difference is BBIQ as well.

Really getting excited about the possibility of getting Simmons and letting Silas work with him.

But doubt anything happens at least not this year.

Philly bound Harden coz of two factors: Morey and Meek Mill

    3 team trade:

    PHI: Paul George
    LAC: Russ Westbrook
    HOU: Ben Simmons

    https://tradenba.com/trades/QHBFbe_FF

This trade even saves Tilman $$$$.

Then trade House + pick for Mo Bamba.

Portion of MLE for Nerlens Noel or Meyers Leonard.

    6'5 James Harden
    6'10 Ben Simmons
    6'5 PJ Tucker
    6'7 Robert Covington
    7'0 Mo Bamba

*Rockets switch everything defense would be unstoppable with 3 players in top 3 in steals AND deflections.

**Keep EGo until trade deadline to max his value.

It’s a players league now - I would not be surprised if harden demanded a trade at some point in the near future.

harden in the East sounds pretty realistic.

the only reason people didn’t think kawhi was a top 5 player was because the casuals wanted to believe the Spurs system was the only reason he was good. That was false. AD has been heralded a top 5 player for years by like I said the media and even casual fans.

well I mean I agree with you. My point is more if the rockets are willing to shop Harden THIS year... absent Hardens objection (which granted he might basically have say) the Rockets are going to find a better package, imo.

Given Hardens ability to control landing spots... maybe Simmons+ picks+ salary is the best they can do....

Hadn’t factored in Hardens veto vote as much.

what other realistic packages do you see for Him... I have one I prefer ....

Picks and a young potential all star is what I prefer. I couldn’t careless about getting some near 30 year old all star caliber player now. That isn’t helping your future

Would you trade Harden and Westbrook for Simmons and Embiid? Straight up as I heard rumors of Westbrook for Embiid.

    Are you a
Just no! I don’t care who you are. You don’t trade James Harden. Especially for Ben Simmons?! Harden will age like a fine wine. Give him some real shooters and a real star... not some delapidated versions of Westbrook, CP3, and tired-ass Eric Gordon. They gambled and traded the most unstoppable pnr tandem in current times when they let Clint Capela go... now you want to trade for a slightly better version as your main star?!? That’s Bill-O’Brien level stupid.

Trading Harden would be a mistake of catastrophic proportions, he is a superstar that needs no load management and loves to hoop.

Maybe a little too much if that is even possible.

But he is slow laterally and a inconsistent shooter. Not to mention he is too short. SF height with PF skillset. How is that a good fit?
