Great for the Sixers and Morey might get to have Sam as his coach after all :) Glad he didn’t stay in LA, Clippers are toxic.

Not really, they are 3pt heavy except for Simmons. Would be awesome if Morey comes in right away trades Ben.

What is Elton Brand's position again?
    How does he fit?

He allows Morey to run the team with analytics but have a former player as the front man for all the anti-analytics players to meet with. Also, an obvious fall guy whenever things aren't working at any point in the future.

This is going to be fascinating. These two troubled franchises are star struck and stuck. If we manage to ship either of our falling stars for either of theirs, we win. If we send them gordon's contract for the corpse of al horford - we winnish..... well.. we do lose. If we involve a third team and actually manage to get some cap space and a pick or two instead of another long term bloated contract, we win the worlds fastest reboot and the team becomes inherently more interesting to watch.

Not really sure how any of our players help them, but Morey is fascinated with Harden. Please Morey, maintain your fascination.

They are so lucky. Rivers is good at some things but he's not the person to design a strategy as much as execute it. Morey is going to make him update his system or get replaced in 1-2 years. Brand gets to lean on these two.

Simmons is going to have to either shoot or set picks, probably both if he wants to keep his efficiency (and his impact on team offensive efficiency) respectable on the offensive side of the ball.

With plenty of salary on the books, Morey is going to be able to find pieces to put around Embiid and Simmons that actually fit, even if not perfectly ideal. I expect them to be top 3 in the East for a decade. Sixers seem to be willing to spend way more than either Les or Tilman, and Morey has always been on the cusp of making the Finals despite juggling cheap owners.
