This is what I'm talking about! I love this so much after feeling so down about Morey.

I could be wrong but I thought Hornacek was considered a really bad coach?

A bad head coach doesn't make a bad assistant coach.

As a long time Rocket fan, Jeff Hornacek should not be allowed in the building. He played for the hated Jazz.

Hornacek granted was never dirty, just a solid shooter, but just cannot disconnect him from the Jazz and his horrible job as a head coach. It sounds like Tilman said get me some big names tbh. I want Turner to stay!

Now if we can just get Mark Eaton and Mailman to lace them up ten minutes a night.

Love’em, hate’em they were super solid defensive minded former players.

Will be interesting to see how the defense looks but love the toughness.

    Hornacek isn't a bad coach.

He believes in fast pace, shots within 7-8 seconds.... believes in 3's BUT is okay with some mid range shooting, just not long 2's.

He was an assistant under Jerry Sloan, who was an exceptional coach.

He also was a finalist during the last process and connected with Morey pretty well.

Doesnt make a good one either.

This is just PR hire, Tilly and Stone trying to surround Silas with names instead of letting Silas choose his own staff.

    He is smart.

Having smart people is a big deal in the NBA.

Roy Rogers and Elston Turner don't cut it.

Hornacek's offensive philosophy is a lot like Silas' so they should do well together.

As for McMillan..... how long before he strangles Westbrook.

I'll allow it if his daughter Abby is court side at all the games.

To be fair, this was also Morey's deal that he wanted full control of hiring the coaching staff. I don't really see an issue, although yes, ideally I'd love for Stephen to work with whoever he wants to work with.
