Les Alexander didn't have to sell the Rockets but he did it for greed

    Can't be real billionaire unless you have cash or liquid assets like stocks
    This anger toward Tilman is misguided

    Didn't George Lucas sell Star Wars to Disney and people complained that the new Disney Star Wars sucked?
    Lucas didn't have to sell.

    Now people want Tilman to sell. Tilman won't sell because he wanted to be an NBA owner, it's ego for him.

    Les made money selling student loans and junk bonds. Tilman has a chain of Applebees level restaurants.

    Leslie was cheap AF, but Tilman is just straight up dumb. Guess lying and doing shady business deals work in the casino and cheap food business, but that doesn't fly when working with real people.

    This. Leslie Alexander was by no means deep pocketbooks, but he was smart. Tilman being cheap is a tough pill to swallow, but it's his being dumb that really hurts the Rockets. Not just dumb, but the worst kind of dumb: the kind that thinks he is smart. He won't learn from his mistakes, he'll either keep making them or make excuses. He is the man who thought Chris Paul's contract was the worst in all of sports, but thought Russell Westbrook's contract was worthwhile. I'm sure he thinks Morey was good but replaceable. "We still have all those numbers Morey crunched don't we? We still have Rafael who is a tough negotiator, and my son Patrick who puts in the work and knows just as much as an NBA lifer would. Harden + Wesbrook = 2 MVPs and 2 MVPs = championships, it's not that hard." In a nutshell I'm sure that's his thought process.

    You aren't better than anyone because you're older. Your fights with LOF came off as xenophobic and your hatred towards Les comes off as anti-semitic. T-Mac was a better player than most the players who you hold in high regard.

    What is Les doing now ?
    Ask yourself these questions

    Why doesn’t Michael Jordan sell the Hornets?
    His teams have been terrible
    He could have lots of money from the sell

    Les was a great trader, he saw a good money making opportunity and made the deal.
    Tilman is a poor man pretending to be a rich man..and he stupid af!

    I don't see enough Les Alexander slander coming up enough in conversations. Les is the one who doomed the franchise to a Tilman dystopia. If Les really cared for this franchise, he would have sold to the people there were trying to buy the team with Mutombo. I blame Les and his greed for the Rockets demise.

    Les sold the team cause he wanted money more than having a team

    there’s no other reason

    The Buss family never sold the Lakers
    They could have fetched more than the $3 bill the Rockets were sold for

    Jerry Buss took his ownership for the Lakers to his grave then passed it to his kids

    Les didn’t love the team or city enough to do that

    Hakeem won and moved to Florida

    as a 1997er you're schtick got tired and annoying about a decade ago. Les owned the Rockets for 20 years and brought us our only titles. Blaming him for anything is inane.
