I just can't envision JVG doing anything offensively with a small ball team. Given those choices, roll the dice on Silas.
Feigan says he thinks its JVG or Silas but never confirms its down to them two strictly. He also says Lucas is still a consideration. Either way, I hope its one of those two and not Lucas. Nothing against him, I just dont think he'd be a good coach for us. #TeamSilas Quote below: "I really think at this point, it’s going to be Jeff Van Gundy or Stephen Silas. John Lucas was and is a candidate, and a good candidate that they very seriously considered and are considering. But I think it’s those two.I think it’s taking a little time, because the determination is… they want to have the different voices heard. Basketball operations, led by Rafael Stone, the new GM. Ownership, Tilman Fertitta and Patrick Fertitta, they want them on the same page."
The quotes were from the Texas Sports Nation show. Video is on chronicle's website. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/media/Texas-Sports-Nation-Oct-25-1816471.php?jwsource=cl Here's complete interview, chopped out the Texans and Rice Owls segments feigen looks like he lost weight during pandemic ... good for him
TF and his son are gonna ruin everything. They don't know anything about pro ball. The GM and the coaches need to be on the same page for the most part, but they should respect different ideas. Small ball needs to be mixed with length, height, quickness and mental/ physical strength plus team work. This may not happen in this upcoming season, but this should be the future philosophy for the Houston Rockets.
Down to 2 today...down to 1 tommorrow...down to 0 in few days, and Patrick announced as the new headcoach.
CGI Kidding! I saw close up him in Portland in the pre-COVID part of the season and he's lost quite a bit since then. Great job, JF. Losing weight is difficult enough when you're young, but it gets really tough when you're older.
thank you! i'm just glad that Lucas is not on the list. i'd love to have JVG, but Silas is fine as well
