Ohhh...... so if 90% of black people are voting democrat, then they are not using their brain?

I understand now...... that line of thought is exactly why women and women don't want anything to do with the current Republican party.

Donald Trump is going to lose this election because of women and minorities.........

Outreach and a propensity to actually listen to concerns brought up by minority communities goes a long way.

acknowledging systemic racism is a start. when one party denies that's a thing and generally thinks the way to solve problems that disproportionately affect black people is for them to just try harder or want it more (e.g. kushner), the question you should be asking is why that number isn't 100%.

funny i knew you were gonna pull the race card like a good little lib.

the truth is, many many more white people also can make up their own mind but let others do it for them. I thought that was obvious but you feverishly pounced on it anyway.

    so racist

People are individuals and they make choices as individuals that have a shared experience.

Black people think for themselves and based on their experience support the democrat party by a 9:1 ratio.

FWIW I think we will see more black men vote Republican if the Republicans make them a priority.

The Republicans have not attempted to get the black vote since Nixon.

For as terrible and corrupt as Trump is, he does deserve credit for at least paying lip service to black voters, that is a start.

Ahh so white people also let others make up their mind for them?

Have you ever considered that most people vote based on what they view is either their own self interest of societies greater interest?

Using this odd criteria, should we all conclude that you have let other make up your mind for you as well?

I think many vote on what they are told. Especially young people. In fact its the truth. And yes, of course there are people who vote based on their own preference and research. There are many who do not. How is this not logically understood?

wow. So conservatives just dont give a shitt at all? They won’t even listen!

ok so what has the “outreach” and “listening” done that merits 92% of the black vote?

It is necessary, you disregarded what I said..... that people are capable, and do make up their own mind when it comes to voting for candidates.

Couple that with the fact that you believe many people do not make up their on minds in juxtaposition to black voters is concerning.

Just because black voters at a rate of nearly 9:1 do not vote for your party, does not mean they have been brainwashed or are stupid.

What you should do is ask yourself what your party promotes that scares off so many black voters.

I would tell the same thing to a democrat that asked why her party was so disliked by evangelicals.

if the Republican Party wasn’t such a safe haven for White Supremacists, neo-Nazis, Confederate lovers, conspiracy theorists, etc, maybe more black people would think about possibly giving them a chance

there are videos of Trump supporters yelling out “white power“...Trump even retweeted one of them and then later claimed he didn’t know those words had been said in the video...

The right wing domestic terrorist Timothy Wilson who was plotting to blow up a hospital and later got killed by the FBI back in March, guess what he was also planning as well? He was planning to shoot up a predominately black elementary school. Are we even surprised?

The records show that for months, Wilson had discussed ideas for a terrorist attack, telling an undercover FBI agent that he was considering sites ranging from a nuclear plant and Islamic centers in Missouri to the Walmart headquarters or a synagogue in Arkansas. He also discussed last year shooting up a predominantly black elementary school, the FBI said in the affidavits.

Covid is disproportionately affecting people of color, and Trump and his GOP minions blow it off

Why is the Republican Party always trying to suppress the vote?

The economy has tanked under the watch of the last 2 Republican presidents.

Based on the history of the Republican Party for the last 50 years, yes.

Over the last 50 years the Republican Party has to a very large extent not even discussed or addressed the issues of the black community, and that is reflected in 90% of black voters voting democrat.

That can always change, but there is a reason why most black voters support democrats.

It isn't any different than democrats asking why they have lost the evangelical vote since Jimmy Carter left office...... it isn't rocket science. The Democrats have not really addressed any of the concerns of Evangelicals and they have largely ignored them.

Just because you don't like the answer, doesn't mean it isn't true.

Thinking Trump will do anything for black people.

So now black people are not thinking for themselves?

Or is that blacks that vote democratic are not thinking for themselves?

Republicans had the black vote until the 60's and then like in 2016 they once again went in search of raw naked power.

The funny thing is as a black man I was willing to give Trump a chance because I thought he would tack to the middle and from Hillary depressing the black vote there was a huge portion of blacks just ripe for the picking.

He could have coasted into a 2nd term easily with the democratic infighting.

    Yet here we are.

    this was back in June...

On Friday morning, Texas’ top Republican officials, including Gov. Greg Abbott, had condemned four GOP chairs for proliferating conspiracy theories on Facebook. The posts, from chairs of some of the largest counties in Texas, suggested George Floyd’s death was staged to erode black support for President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, a fifth chairperson, Harris County GOP chair-elect Keith Nielsen, announced Saturday he will not take office as planned after coming under fire for posting a Martin Luther King Jr. quote — "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" — on a background with a banana.

On Friday afternoon, The Texas Tribune identified similar posts from seven more GOP chairs across the state. Some of these posts suggested people who have been protesting Floyd’s death across the state and the country were being paid by Jewish billionaire George Soros — an oft-used anti-Semitic trope.

but we’ll still have white people wondering why the GOP struggles so much to get black support...
