I don't pay that much attention to American Politics, but how did Biden get nominated. It seems like his brain just isn't working anymore, it seems like he's struggling to memorize a script, and just stuttering and barely making sense

I wonder the same thing, as I feel there were much better candidates that would have wiped the floor, but the way the nomination process is run, my voice means nothing. As far as his appearance on stage, he's definitely lost a step, but he also has a stutter.

This where Trump’s ridiculous ego gets on his way. He does have a good argument regarding the 1994 crime bill and that he passed criminal justice reform and HBCU funding but he it’s very hard to take that seriously when he claims he did more or as much for black Americans as Lincoln
Obama filled the cages too, but only with kids who were suspected of being trafficking victims or were orphaned already. Trump just orphaned the kids against their will. Abhorrent.
So Biden sometimes doesn't have the nuance to answer. Here's the deal. Under the Obama and Bush administration, any child that is UNACCOMPANIED or accompanied by a guardian that has a violent felony or drug felony charge is detained in facilities that are designed for 72 hour detentions. And they only stayed there for a maximum of 72 hours or until they find their guardian or find a temp foster home. Trump came along and made a zero tolerance policy that seperated all children from their parents even those with no other record besides crossing the border and overan those temp facilities and had them stay there for weeks to months with illness and deaths.
Good on you for bringing up Trump's role in wanting to kill the Central Park 5!! Very disgusting part of Trump's history that highlights his racist behavior.
