    Lots of rumors, info and speculation coming out so starting a thread.

    They're calling it 'Secret Wars' but I have a feeling they will have some buildup possibly including one or two Avengers movies where they form a new team. There's also the X-Men and Fantastic Four to bring in, so I see lots of material before they get to a big-bang like Infinity War/Endgame.

    Yeah I agree. I know there are some stand alone movies they want to do first (Ant Man 3, Thor 4, etc.) but I doubt the next Avengers movie will jump straight to an Endgame type of outcome.

    Feels like I'm going to be 70 by the time new movies come out again :(

    Honestly, I think big tent pole theater movies are going to be fewer and fewer due to the pandemic. Studios were already shifting focus and budgets to very high quality 8-10 episodes series before we got the plague. Massive home televisions and good sound are pretty commonplace and the delivery method is there too.

    We’ll have to see how it plays out. Major Disney shareholders are pressuring them to release Black Widow concurrently in theaters and via video on demand. If it does well via VOD, that could be a new business model. We’ve seen some smaller budget movies make a profit this way in the past six months, but I think an anticipated blockbuster like Black Widow will be a real benchmark. I hope they do this because to be honest, I would love to pay $30-40 to watch it a few times in a weekend.

    Yeah, but the problem is I expect they'll release it for VOD the same way they did Mulan - meaning not only will you need a Disney+ subscription but also pay a hefty fee to watch the movie.

    I have Disney+, and while I'd probably pay for Marvel movies idk how that will play out unless they make it available to people without subscriptions. Also, it feels like a bit of a rip off to pay $20 for a movie when I am watching it at home on a 50" TV. I much prefer to spend more money and see it on a big screen, hell I'd much prefer paying a premium to watch it at a high-end theater like Star Cinema, iPic, Alamo, etc.

    hell yuhh im already prefapping.

    i hope marvel won't do away with movie theater releases. I always watch superhero movies on a higher-end theater. watching it at home would be weird considering i don't have a sound system despite a 60 inch screen, plus the feel isn't there.

    And it's all about the feel. Right handed just isn't the same.

    Clyde? I'm good. He's in Mike Ditka territory at this point. Too simplistic: "You just gotta dunk the ball." "You need to beat your man off the dribble." "He smelled the popcorn and got nervous." He was too good of a player, and doesn't understand that not every NBA player can take off from the free throw line and glide through the air around 3 defenders to make a basket.

    Bullard? I'd be okay with that, but I enjoy him on the broadcasts.

    Secret Wars was my favorite comics growing up, will be very expensive to do it justice.

    True, but they have spent a ton of money on the Avengers movies.

    @STR8Thugg I get your points.

    I’ve always said action movies are best seen in a theater. But with the pandemic it makes more sense to watch at home and it’s good motivation to invest in a bigger screen and sound.

    I think it’s a value add for being a Disney+ subscriber.

    It's a business and they go where the money is. Vote with your dollars.

    Yeah but fck that noise. If people can hold biker rallies and not wear masks and act like idiots I should be able to go to the theater and have my movie popcorn. Amirite?
