We need a post defender and a rebounder to combat the likes of Davis and Jokic next season . That should be Moreys offseason priority. Also having a big who can play the pick and roll to give harden the option he lost in a lints departure will help to

Nope, we'll probably try to develop a 2nd-round pick, give him precious little PT and ship him off to be a star on another team.

Favors is extremeley underrated. Looking at his defensive impact on games by any advanced metric either BPM, DRAYMOND, or RAPTOR. The guy is a standout. He provides second tier rim protection with viable switch ability. These numbers held steady even in his worst year in NOP. The guy is a great rim runner and decision maker out of the pick and roll. If you can’t get Ibaka or Wood or Baynes here on an MLE. He’s the next guy I look at.

If you look at the defensive numbers of our rotation guys in tucker cov and egod they are pretty impressive. Favors adds a near elite defensive center with switch ability great size hands and passing. It also helps slide guys back to their natural rotation.

the market for these kinds of bugs has been very depressed and NOP has some ready made replacements waiting to take his spot. I think he can be had for the MLE and promises of starting.

I don’t think there are a lot of options willing to come for the MLE and if he’s the best you can do that would be a solid rotation piece to put you at 7 deep with possible players in rivers mclemore nwaba green and coboclo. This also allows you to rehab Gordon’s trade value at the same time.

Trade Eric Gordon to Minnesota into cap space for a future first or second rounder. Use full MLE after.

I hope we keep EGo unless we get a first.

If we hire Silas, get Wood and keep the core, I like the teams chances to compete.

Hard cap issues will spring up. The team would most likely have to trade Eric to free up space to operate under the hard cap. We will have to see what happens. Stone is the numbers guy. He can make it work.

You and this obsession of twin towers lol. I don’t hate having both but I think

    Russ
    HARDEN
    RoCo
    PJ
    Wood/Bamba

would be better if you flipped House for Bamba.

I’m not saying twin towers for 48 mins but it will be nice to be able to go big if need be.

And CW is not a 5

He’s a five. He just doesn’t know it yet. 6-10, 7-3 wingspan. He’s who we need to actually unlock small ball.

Both finals teams Excelled at small ball with a versatile 5. Wood would counter that.

Silas will have his Luka and Porzingas.

Now just needs more shooters around Harden-Wood.

And Ryan Broekhoff is a player Silas knows very well.

I heard that the Piston as a team that would be interested in getting rid of Blake, and they know there losing Rose soon with free agency. Why not send out a package of Westbrook, Gordon, and Covington 2 Pistons with them giving us Blake, Rose. Get an agreement for Wood to sign and trade in separate deal to Houston?

Anyways that's a possible win now team they might be interested in. This is just pieces to add around Harden, and gets the cap situated. But everyone here is thinking how do you really gain bigtime cap, this trade would do it and possibly be what Houston needs to sign Wood and other pieces to the puzzle. Aaron baynes also would be great, as well
