He does talk about black empowerment. If Republicans want to woo blacks in a serious attempt this is the way.

    Their ideas aren't mutually exclusive
On a whole affirmative action has no affect on whites so just give it up

You know what affects white jobs? Hispanic electricians

So then the point of this thread is what? Trump has a plan that he hasn’t implemented while being in office for 4 years, and we have nothing other than his meaningless word to signify that he would if re-elected. Ok, cool.

Absolutely. You can enjoy them along with some Trump Vodka on your roundtrip flight on Trump Airlines to a Trump Casino of your choice.

Why does he regret signing it?

Let me be very clear. I don't give a damn either way. You know what helps blacks? Obamacare

This is discussed in the what racism costs thread. Blacks steadily make legislative gains. Gains on all levels yet black home ownership hasn't increased since 1970

The only reason he signed it was to get black votes. When he say no movement in the polling, he expressed regret.

Trader_ J is just doing his usual trolling, getting a laugh out of the responses, regardless of where the response fits on the political compass.

I remember when Trump was talking about that healthcare plan that would be bigly amazing, so much better then Obamacare, everybody will have insurance and it's going to be so much cheaper like you've never seen anything before.

Funny it's been out for a couple weeks and I wouldn't have heard of it but for this thread. As for the plan, "safe urban neighborhoods" reads like code for more police brutality against minorities.

Which points to the larger problem of credibility. It doesn't matter what you promise, people will judge a sitting president by his track record. Any good thing that has come for blacks hasn't come from the Oval Office. The historic low black unemployment Trump brags about was a byproduct of low unemployment more generally, a trend we've been on since 2009. The one proactive thing he can point to is the criminal justice reform, which wasn't even his project. Kudos to him for signing it, but it's not enough by itself. So he can promise whatever, but we expect to see more of the same BS from him.
