    That's like the coaches that punt on 4th and 1 at midfield. It sounds good and is what's been traditionally done, but it's bad math and reduces your chances of winning the series.

    Your goal is to win 4 games, not 1. Would you rather have a 50% chance of winning each of 4 games, or a 75% chance of winning today, and a 30% each of the next 3? In the first case, your odds of winning the series is 6.25%. In the second, your odds are 2%.
