I love it if he is hired! He is a Houstonian. He loves Houston and I know he will do everything in his power to give Rockets a championship.
If we add a nice big center like maybe a Bamba or if we could get our hands on a Myles Turner we could run an extended 1-3-1 zone. That’s only 1 min into it. It sounds like he could add a whole new bag of defensive schemes
If these are the choices, give me JVG. At least I know he will be as miserable as me during a loss. Would fit the attitude of the GARM game thread right after a loss.

It sure feels like its between Lue or JVG from everything one can find on twitter. It probably does come down to price, and if the clippers or pelicans swoop in on Lue before the rockets are ready to make an offer. it might also depend on who we can get as an AHC. Lue would need a defensive coordinator. JVG would need an offensive coordinator. I assume morey's been interviewing some guys for the AHC spot already. could we somehow land akinson to pair with lue if he doesn't find a HC spot? or Silas with JVG if morey promises the HC spot once we hit rebuild in 3-4 years?
Flip Saunders is one that comes to mind. Unfortunately he passed before he could see through what he was trying to build. Also Brian Hill with the Magic.
