When has he ever had a chance? He's one of the worst playoff performers ever for as many ABs as he has gotten. I posted about this the other day but he's got an OPS below .600 for us in the playoffs over like 200 ABs. I still can't figure out why an organization with a front office that has been great since Crane took over continues to pencil his name in the lineup over and over only to see him continue to do what we all expect...be absolute f***** trash. We didn't give Tucker consistent ABs last year because of this clown, passed on Nelson Cruz because of this clown, traded J.D. Davis for peanuts after not giving him consistent ABs and then he hit .300 with 222 bombs and a ~.900 OPS last year while playing about the same level of defense as Reddick (i.e. below average...Reddick hasn't posted a single season of positive defensive WAR since coming to HOU), and the list goes on and on and on. Once again he swung at balls not even CLOSE to the f****** strike zone otherwise we might have them loaded right now with no outs. I literally hate the guy now and not seeing him in the lineup next year on opening day will be such a relief - least favorite Astros player ever. The fact he was talking crap after we beat MIN and made some comment about this being the "last hurrah" before this series really pissed me off....and his spiderman and WOOOO stuff is so cringey.
Bad call on Altuve, but let’s be honest, even if he’d have gotten on base they weren’t going to score. Situational hitting ain’t exactly our thing right now.
That was a bad call but really no one complained about the officiating all night. Astros left the entire team on base again, no one to blame but themselves.
What would the world think if Astros come back from 3-0? I guess we'll find out Sat. It would be so 2020
I'll be here rooting for it. It's possible. I mean it's not like we are getting blown out, we could easily be up 2-1 or 3-0 right now or even down just 1-2.
The ump hurt us but thats just one more inning that the astros hitters just failed in the big moment. Their bats have failed in every single big moment in this series. Every single one. Good pitching, sure. Complete and utter choking failure by the Astro bats? Absolutely every time. such a shame that we would come this far just to play like complete crap. Like a hapless last place team. I am amazed at how bad we have been. We were bad in those 4 home games in the WS last year but the first 3 games of this series the Astros have played much much worse than that. The pitching has been fine. Im really speaking about the offense and Altuve’s fielding. Just pure ineptness.
I said this before...when I said I would rather play the Yankees...the Rays are the best team in MLB. I think it's awesome that the Stros got this far. Who expected ALCS?
