Context dude. Kobe got 3 rings before Shaq left. If LeBron won 3 rings in his first stint with the Cavs do you think he'd ring chase? No that motivation to ring chase would be anywhere near as high.

Nvm I was trying to figure what was your post about. I thought Kobe got drafted by the Hornets?

Yes, context. That was the context of Kobe going to the Lakers.

I think there is some miscommunication here.

Kobe was drafted by Charlotte and then before he played he got traded to the Lakers. He won 3 rings with Shawn and Shaq left. The motivation for Kobe to ring chase would be far lower than after LeBron's his first stint with the Cavs.

My only point was that he didn't "get" traded...he demanded that trade.

    FYI,

LAL GM Jerry West was the mastermind behind the drafting / trade of Kobe.

West witnessed a workout by hi schooler Kobe, was extremely impressed.
    • got in touch w Kobe's agent, Tellum, and suggested to him not to let Kobe showcase his skills to other NBA teams, Tellum complied
West wanted to sign FA to be Shaq, awa to draft hi schooler Kobe, but the team's budget can't afford it.
    • found out Charlotte needed a big man
      • convinced LAL's starting center, 25-yr old Vlade Divac to accept a trade
        • Divac, who owed his nba career to West, agreed.
      • convinced charlotte to draft kobe and trade his rights to LAL for Divac and others

Was there a riot in 1988? Didn’t know you were keeping track. Wait, are you the giver?

Virtue signaling is lame. You don't care about Chinese atrocities, neither do the vast majority of people in the United States to have enough full power to avoid the Chinese market.

Using LeBron as a punching for China is pathetic and obviously politically motivated.
