The Gentlemen. Enjoyed it - 7.5. Not spectacular by any means and it drag at time. Loved the song at the end - Cumberland Gap by David Rawlings...

David Byrne's American Utopia: Spike Lee HBO film of a performance of Byrne's Broadway show. Absolutely fantastic, I think it would be very enjoyable even to those who aren't a fan or familiar with his music.

Just watch The War Room. A 1993 documentary about the Clinton campaign, focusing mostly on James Carville and George Stephanopoulos. Really entertaining and moves fast. Perfect time to watch it with the election on everyone's mind. I always enjoy documentaries that show people doing work.

Finally got around to watching 1917. Fantastic as everyone else has said. Really well done, best movie I've watched in a long time.

    Ad Astra.

    SMH.

It was way to melodramatic and made no sense whatsoever.

I guess the they just let that whole murder thing slide.

    Brittany Runs a Marathon - 7/10

A chick flick for our times. Warning: it might give you a dose of the feels.

War with Grandpa - 3/10 - Took the kids to see this one on Sunday. Man, it was brutal. De Niro has really mailed it in. I may have to watch Taxi Driver tonight just to remind myself that he's still my all time favorite actor. Kids loved it though.

I watched Taxi Driver for the first time in very long time recently and it just felt so dated -- so many filler scenes in between the main story arc were ackward and forced. It wasn't nearly the classic I remembered it being -- reminded me of rewatching Saturday Night Fever a 'classic' movie that actually only has a few great scenes and an epic soundtrack the rest of it was pretty bad.

Late to the party as usual, but..

Moneyball 8/10 - One of the better sports movies I've ever seen because it was so true to the story and took very few liberties like most other sports movies do. Johah Hill was an odd choice but Brad Pitt nailed it. Felt a little short to me, but that's usually a sign of a really good movie.

Yeah I watched it for the 1st time a while back and it was definitely longer than it needed to be but don't think it was dated.

    Still felt a little underwhelming.

There was also a lot just for shock value.

Not a movie but Band of Brothers on HBO is solid. Essentially a 10 hour movie

It's fantastic, as is The Pacific. I keep hoping that those same guys will do series's about the air war over Europe and the naval war in the Pacific.
