Idgaf...Harden has had dominant games against better competition, it just gets glossed over...what wouldn’t get glossed over at all is if Harden had Jimmy Butler’s current performance in an elimination game, and it wouldn’t matter how well Harden had played leading up to the game since Jimmy Butler is now a god because of 2 games, all the Jimmy dick riders need to come with that same energy they always have for Harden
But there's a difference between a "dominant playoff game" and a 40 pt triple double in the finals. You can't overlook that.
For a guy who thinks that 2nd quarter points are as equally important as crunch time 4th quarter points, shouldn't you be doing something better with your time? Like reading a book?
what I won’t overlook is 10 points on 9 shots while playing 38 minutes in a finals elimination game...I damn sure won’t overlook that
Don’t overlook Jimmy Butler being the 4th leading scorer shooting 43% from the field and 17% from 3 just to get to the finals. https://www.basketball-reference.co...astern-conference-finals-heat-vs-celtics.html
This makes no sense at all. 2nd quarter points are worth exactly the same as 4th quarter points. Like literally exactly the same. There’s loads of games, playoff and finals included where the game is over at halftime because of a monster 2nd quarter. Or first. Or whatever. Because all points at any instance of the game are identical.
How is Goran Dragic the leading scorer on your team, and u still make the finals with ease? And we really have a thread asking how the Heat are able to make the finals before the Rockets... the Rockets wouldn’t win 1 playoff series, I don’t even think they’d last more than 5 games at best, if Harden wasn’t the leading scorer, and the leading scorer was some guy averaging 21 a game...we wouldn’t even beat Portland
LOL. Spoken like a true Harden fan. Why don't you ask Nick Anderson if 2nd quarter points are as equally important as 4th quarter crunch time points?
Hardens mindblowing offensive production really covers up a lot of holes with this team and coaching. I mean you have a guy that you can just give the ball to, and tell everybody to GTFO the way, and he can carry trash to the playoffs. He even dragged garbage to the playoffs with an interim head coach. Having a guy that productive, that can not only score 40 a night without being assisted, but create wide open looks that guys at my Rec league could make, it’s a crutch that is hard to deal with when it’s not there. That’s why the rockets are routinely an awful team when he goes to the bench, and why the Rockets are still productive when he’s not even playing well because of all the attention he gets. At this point I don’t want to see him averaging 35 again next year. It just means the team and coaching is lackluster if they need that just to get low 50’s wins.
Ok? If Nick Anderson had scored 1 more point in the 2nd quarter they would have won the game. This isn’t advanced math. Or is it?
Butler - 12 pts - 7 rebounds 8 asst 7 rebs in an elimination game The Dog took himself out of the game with like 3 minute left Rocket River
Man, the shots being taken at a guy that dragged his team to the finals is unreal. If only they had the same standards when talking about the dude more interested in the big booty after the game or playing with his buddy
Harden had 32/6/6 with 4 steals in a Game 7 against the Durant, Curry, Klay, Draymond, Iggy Warriors with 10+ potential points stolen from him, without CP3, and Trevor Ariza going 0-12, and Harden still gets slandered for it, TODAY.
Doesn’t matter how harden plays in the playoffs. The league won’t let him win a title as we saw in 2018. To them harden is everything wrong with the nba. Harden doesn’t go along with the sjw nonsense so he is no use to the league
