And how many years have you been making excuses for Harden?

Clout is demanding that the team that gave up a fortune to aquire him - sign to max and trade him the following season to a team of his choice.

Clout is undermining the HC and disrupting the entire organization.

Clout is influencing the best young players on his new teams.

Butler is adored by KAT and Embiid.

    That is clout.

But keep stinking it up fly.

Thank you sir! Agree 100%. If only the folks who scream “Harden HATER” can see this blatant difference. Harden is an all world talent but the unreachable intangibles you referenced have held him back.

Recency bias for sure. I’m going off what’s happening now. Harden is at home after losing to the Lakers 4-1. Butler is playing out of his mind in a pressure situation, going head to head with Lebron forcing a game 6 in the finals.

He needs help. Do you think Lebron and Butler are winning these games by themselves? No. They're getting good support. If Harden had any type of consistent support, the Rockets would have beaten the Lakers.

Oh I blame management too. It’s a Houston thing. Houston teams get one good player and then they put a bunch of junk around them and blame them for falling short. Hell, they wasted 8 years of Olajuwon’s career pulling this crap. Every star they’ve brought in to play with Harden.....Howard, CP3 & Westbrook has gotten injured or came that way. Also, you don’t see Miami out here announcing that we don’t take mid range shots, we don’t like tall players, etc. Where’s the gamesmanship in that? You’re giving away strategy. Who freakin does that? The GM is an attention w**** who hasn’t gotten the job done. If he can’t put a team & coach around Harden that can win or if Harden can’t play different style of ball that can win the title. THEN GET BOTH OF THEIR ASSES OUT OF HERE.

if Fetitta or Les Alexander had a manager in their other businesses that was falling short or a star employee that was hindering the overall success of their business, they would be fired IMMEDIATELY. Harden is a weird dude who has clearly shat the bed a few times, but that in itself doesn’t excuse the Rockets organization for going old, slow & small while telling the world what the game plan was EVERY NIGHT. If it was me they all might be gone.

Only from the Rockets fans could they knee-jerk Butler's playoff performance and think he's an actual better player than Harden.

The amount of disrespect Harden gets on this forum is truly awful.

Recency bias? The dude has disappeared in these playoffs multiple times. Herro, Dragic and Bam have played their asses off, Its just a fact. Butler is a good player playing on a team with great chemistry. Those guys have picked him up in some crucial games.

No. Butler is calm, constantly makes good decisions under pressure. Stays committed without the ball and spotlights on him.

    From the article:

"Butler’s relationship with both head coach and president Tom Thibodeau and young star Karl-Anthony Towns fractured beyond belief."

"Towns reportedly won’t even sign his rookie max extension — five years between $158 and $190 million if he makes All-NBA or wins Defensive Player of the Year — until Minnesota hashes out its business with Butler."

Please....use a little critical thinking. Just a little.

The problem with Houston management is that it chose to cater exclusively to Harden. Harden is a great player, but he's simply not good enough to warrant that kind of commitment.

Thibs loved Butler and so did the Wolves players, including KAT, until Butler started criticizing KAT and Wiggins effort as well as the organization goals.

And clout is demanding a trade and getting it granted after Wolves gave up a fortune in assets to aquire him from Bulls.

Just because KAT has clout does not mean Butler did not. That is just specious thinking.

Look up the word clout, it means "influence".

It also means a hard blow, like the one's I've introduced to your pissant arguements.

KAT obviously had more clout. Please, use some critical thinking.

You can’t leave out, this GM wants to reinvent basketball. Micro ball, No mid range, etc... If the coaches don’t buy in then they’re gone. No team has won with one guy. And Harden is not going to be the one to change that. Might be time for a different vision, with or without Harden. And I like Harden. But this culture of telling the world ahead of time about who you are and the inability to adjust is road to failure.

sure buddy..... He can do it all. He has shot mid range, and floaters. Not until MDA came and traded away Capela did his options become limited. You sir, just choose to be willfully ignorant of the facts.
Harden is not a curl shooter anyway. He is a set shooter.

    LOL.

So your argument is "more" clout instead of "clout" now?

Moving the goal posts again fly?

How typical, yet another pissant move.

I'm sorry your critical thinking is so poor that you would interpret my words as Jimmy Butler having zero clout. I really do pity you.
