Multiple sources including ESPN are saying that JVG will likely be named next Rockets coach once the Finals is over. The reason for the lengthy delay has been that we are technically not allowed to talk to or name JVG while he is calling the playoffs/Finals for ESPN. Expect the deal to take place later next week. He is, by far, the best candidate of the current group of scrubs being interviewed. I’ll have to finally give credit to Morey when this occurs. It will be extremely, extremely painful rooting for that b*stard Lebron, but the pain will be well worth the end result (long term).
I rather wait one week than root for them. Heck I could wait a whole decade than root for the Fakers.
This. Btw, just because they’re not BIG names doesn’t mean they’re scrubs. Also.. if JVG is going to be the coach, why do you care how quickly it gets done? Why does another week matter?

I thought you were going to say because if they win, it means we lost to the team that everyone lost to, rather than losing to the second best team. Had Danny Green hit the shot last night, we would have had the best win against the lakers of any team they played in the playoffs, and I don't even need to look that up. Greatest show on turf.
So, why should we root for the Lakers? How does that effect whether he would be chosen? I’m confused. Of course I’m rooting against the Lakers, as should anyone with a soul who lives outside of Southern California.
Apparently the Clippers are also waiting to interview JVG according to nba radio this morning. They said it's either Lue or JVG for the Clips. At least that is what they were claming.
We all HATE the Lakers with a passion. But if they lose we can’t deal with JVG until Wednesday at the earliest. That gives time for more scrubs to interview and they may change their mind and go with a cheaper more controllable option like the loser from Minnesota. This is not something to mess around with...Tilman/Morey given extra time and budget may go another direction.
So your logic is that, with more time to interview, Morey will make a worse decision? What...what the heck?
I like JVG, despite all the failures of the mid-2000s. But I’m very skeptical he is the right coach to maximize the talent of this team. I hope I’m wrong. .....and I would never root for the Lakers.
C’mon he is known to overthink things...his analytics side could tell him to go another direction. It may well be worth the pain to see the overrated LeBron lose out on a trophy.
