Seriously if you have a family member who has something like a hijab, do you trust them to be safe on election day at the voting booth with all the rhetoric Trump is spewing telling his base to be essentially vigilanties at the polling stations?

Maybe a few but I've convinced all of my family and friends to remain armed at all times. I suggest everyone here do the same.

For me it's just been a personal responsibility but yeah, I felt pretty bad about having to show my boomer dad how to operate a gun. He never even fired one like I'm guessing most immigrant parents. They don't ingrain gun culture in the rest of the world like they do here.

 

I've said this multiple times but you look at median household income adjusted and median household debt adjusted for the past 40 years and you'll understand how we came to this point of increased tensions and division. People on average are financially more desperate than 40 years ago which means more people are going to be more prone to listening to extremist divisive rhetoric.

The GOP has weaponized this frustration by directing it at people with less clout such as migrants, poor Blacks, Latinos, Muslims etc.
