i really hope we sign him back for another year. him and Bmac on the floor together would be so fun to watch (albeit horrible defensively).
Green had to OK the trade to Denver, so I would be shocked if there wasn't a handshake agreement that he is guaranteed a minimum offer from the club during the offseason. For a minimum player that accepts pretty much whatever you ask of him, he's certainly still worth a roster spot.
Via the The Athletic: https://theathletic.com/2116576/202...inside-the-hiring-process-for-new-head-coach/ 9. Free agent Gerald Green has been training privately in Houston as he ramps up his recovery, in hopes of a Rockets return, league sources told The Athletic. It’s been over a year since Green last played an NBA game, missing the entire season with a broken foot before being included in the multi-team trade that sent Robert Covington to Houston. Green was waived by the Denver Nuggets and has remained in Houston ever since February.
Hell no. Denver cut him and he’s loyal to Houston. If u get traded and cut u can’t return to the team that cut you
I’ve been expecting it. McLemore packaged with Eric Gordon for possible trades. Have to dress up Eric Gordon with other players; because alone by himself (EGo) probably won’t get it done. In steps Gerald Green to fill the void.
Nah he had offers from Non Rocket teams. And he didn’t wanna play for a non rocket team. We couldn’t sign green due to the rule
I love his loyalty to the city and franchise. That’s cool and all, but McLemore is the better player. If he gets moved I’m all ears.
Green is a good fit around Harden and he's the kind of depth this team will need for the regular season but he can't be a major contributor in the rotation of a championship team
Microball at it's best. No disrespect for Gerald though. I want him to get fit and come back to the Rockets as the 9th or 10th man.
I’ll take Crazy Gerald on my team whether Gordon, McLemore are moved or not. It takes the whole squad to get through a season, every roster spot counts.
