hes going all in on christian right and trying to win election via supreme court. it is his only chance and electorate wont matter..

if he can get a boost from christian right and keep it close he can contest it more easily to supreme court. hes not even trying with anyone else. for the voters its abortion.. for him its about supreme court and staying reelected.

 

He's pretty stupid, in the throes of a life threatening illness and on mind-altering steroids.

So...there's a chance he really thinks this is a smart move.

 

Yep...really the only explanation...unless he's just wacked out of his mind on the drugs he's taking.

Thing is, going all in on his base is just going to drive others over to the other side which means the margin of defeat is going to be even bigger...which in turn will make it hard to overturn.

 

Neither of these things precludes a stimuls bill though. It has only upside for him. You could easily get it through before the election, every vulnerable GOP senator would cross over to vote for it.

 

Or Trump just isn't the electoral genius that we keep pretending he is. There's no strategy here. His advisors probably weren't even aware that this was even going to happen.

in your mind these same christian right could use some spare cash. i get that but trump is hedging that by saying "vote for me and i will I promise" he may even try to get an executive order sending out a letter to all saying "he promises to pay" if elected..like all his useless ious falling out of the samsonite dumb and dumber style.

he thinks they dont vote and to an extent hes right if looking at history. i think your comment will be valid though and early indications is 2 million already voted and historic turnout.

so the offset you mention yes i think will backfire. this will come down to abortion in his mind. he thinks it is a big # based on who actually votes.
