Tilman has done nothing to help anyone vote.

uh, the Rockets were one of the first (if not *the* first) to announce the stadium as a voting center, complete with free parking throughout the voting process (Oct 13-30th and election day).

They are putting out a tweet everyday about this. I think this one was the first (Aug 27th)

    Here's the repeating tweets

The Rockets did this and good for them, but what about Tilman personally?

    come on, man ...

this isn't an argument. Are you all about D&D Winning and Divisiveness? Seriously, what's your point here?

That "drive thru" voting is very cool and you should be out "personally" promoting that, and all the Voting Dates at Toyota Center, as well as what MoreThanAVote is doing for Houston voters. And make sure you tell ppl Tilman is making sure everyone has free parking, too. I'm sure Lebron and MoreThanAVote are spreading the word about what TC offers.

Take the lead of both Lebron's MoreThanAVote and Tilman's Rockets to "personnally" spread the word telling ppl how/where to vote in Houston.

Alright, I am being unfair to Tilman. Though I wonder if he is taking the lead on it or simply following what the players pushed the league into doing. Nevertheless, I am glad the team is doing something to help.

    Meanwhile in Wisconsin:

I fully expect the TX election officials to try something similar if they can.

Not that I'm trying to grill Tilman or anything, but wasn't this the agreement made for all teams during the in bubble strike? That all arenas would be used as voting centers?

We actually don't know if the players pushed that or if the owners pro-actively suggested it. I'm pretty sure the owners had already been approached by Mayors/County Judges way before players even cared to form a Lebron group.

fwiw: I'm pretty sure the Rockets made the joint-announcement with the County prior to the NBA announcing the agreement...I noticed, by a day or so. We appeared to spearhead it ... likely because Mayor and Hidalgo already had the conversation in motion with Tilman.

I also live in a world where my positivity believes it was a mutual realization between Mayors and Owners (pre NBA bubble groups) and Union providing the tipping point of commitment ... all in it together.

regardless, Tilman probably wasn't the most pro-active on this front of all the owners, but he does seem to be an open-door policy kind of guy to his players, esp Harden, and Coach was already doing a lot of Vote stuff with his t-shirt campaign ... so wouldn't surprise if Tilman had zero problem with this, and is sitting in on organizing it once it got going.

Tillman is a Republican so he wants the vote suppressed to try to reelect his boy Trump.
