Who says theres no home field advantage in these playoffs. Only Tampa has played in front of no one and is comfortable in doing so.
i dont know if somebody already mentioned this but i will anyway. The astros look like they are taking this series personal, this was the series to wake them up. They do NOT wanna lose to this team. Anybody but them, the astros at bats today were the closest ive seen all year to 2017. patient yet aggressive. Even reddick had some good at bats today
Back to 1 game over .500... lol. Again, they need to stop mentioning averages/numbers/totals as if this was a normal season. This is, however, a “Normal” post-season starting as of now. The reason why the 99 Spurs don’t get more flack for their championship is because of what happened after. If the Astros go on to win this year, they’ll need to press to preserve their legacy. Crane should consider taking out loans to pay for whoever... then sell the team when its all done and reap the rewards. Astros-Yanks ALCS... PART 3. Where would it be played... LA or SD?
Can somebody get the body bag for Molly? Ignoring context is precisely why I unsubscribed from The Athletic.
Would it be Astros-Yanks part 3... or Astros-Yanks part 4? Getting some questions as to whether the wild card game from 2015 counts or not. And where would it be played, SD or LA? I’m slowed. There’s a very good chance this series goes 5... even if the Astros win tomorrow. I’m just thrilled the Astros finally have a stable/healthy lineup for the first time all year... last time was the one Alvarez game this year that nobody will remember. They can hang with this A’s team minus Chapman.
Part 4 LCS games are in SD (I was mistaken and assumed LA) and Grand Prairie. WS is in Grand Prairie. ALDS Game 2 is in LA
Sorry, I forgot Joe Smith, and I assume he's included in 2020 salary. That makes $51M. $274,193.55 per pitch.
Baseball Tonight glossed over the Astros victory pretty quick. LOL. They mention the big day by Correa and then send it over to a sideline reporter that talked for about a minute and then moved on to the Marlins and Braves. They talked about them for about 5 mins.
I'm retartded. It's just reality. I deal with it. This team played 60 meaningless games. Got kicked in to a shithole structure. Along with the rest of em. Who are we? We lost JV. We lost the kid. We lost a closer. But who are we? This feels more important & bigger than the last It's beautiful.
ESPN’s a dying network for their baseball coverage. Nobody watches Sunday Night baseball. Less people even aware that baseball tonight is still a thing. TBS actually spent more time on Astros-A’s in the late show than they did on Yanks-Rays... mainly because they added an extra segment going over whether or not the effect of the cheating scandal is influencing anything right now. MLB tonight also now the standard as they have all night to discuss things (and keep it on repeat). In the end, will take the opinions of former players like Granderson, Pedro, Casey, Rollins, even Harold Reynolds vs. guys who never played the game... like Tim Kurkjian, Jeff Passan, Buster Olney... and everybody’s favorite, Karl Ravech.
Agree on them dying in the baseball segment but I checked in just to see what they would have to say- not much. Whats sad is, casual baseball fans will take bspns word as gospel, because they are still espn after all, and casual fans are still casual fans.... with twitter accounts. The game talk beforehand, during and after was such a refreshing dose of real baseball analysis compared to the first series. So glad we got Turner instead of Fox and hope bspn is out of the equation from here on out.
