Moses Trujillo-Rodriguez, 23, was arrested Tuesday on second-degree assault and unlawful use of weapon charges and booked into the Multnomah County Jail, KATU reported. He’s listed as homeless in court documents, according to Fox 12 Oregon.

Leo Khoury, the owner of Habibi Restaurant, said Friday he’s still shaken after the incident and wore bandages covering two- to three-inch gashes on his lower back and left shoulder, Fox 12 reported.

“I just start shaking if I see anybody walk inside the restaurant, I just get scared,” Khoury said.

Police responded to Habibi Restaurant, a Lebanese eatery on Southwest Morrison Street, around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officers arrived at the scene to find Trujillo-Rodriguez sitting in the bushes about two blocks away from the restaurant, surrounded by several employees.

Witnesses told police that Trujillo-Rodriguez ordered a meal, had finished eating, and then became irate when he was given his check. He began yelling and refused to leave the establishment as employees prepared for closing, prompting Khoury to dial 911.

Portland is dumb, even their homeless people are entitled

Houston homeless people are grateful to restaurant owners here
especially the hard working middle eastern folk

there's no respect for people in portland, people in houston from homeless to poor billionaires respect other people's businesses

    Houston > Portland

I support universal access to mental care for the mentally sick and for those living in constant fears.

I don't know if this was the case. The homeless was not living in fear of the restaurant cause he was dining there.
Also didn't appear 'homeless' because they let him in dine in and assumed he could pay for the meal.

Refusing to pay doesn't seem like a mental health problem but a personal choice based on respect.

For example when kids do 'a dine and dash', they aren't suffering from mental health issues
    or when they shoplift

So why exactly is this thread in the D&D.

Do you just want to rail on the homeless?

What does dine and dash have to do with any of this?

"He said do you take Apple Pay, I said yes I do, he said give your phone, and I said, sir, Apple Pay I have to use your phone, not my phone," Khoury explained.

After the customer started rummaging around in a bag and refused to leave the restaurant as employees prepped for closing, Khoury says he dialed 911. He told FOX 12 that the man became even more irate after hearing Khoury describe the situation to the dispatcher on the phone.

Khoury says that's when the man stabbed him in the back and shoulder and then ran out of the restaurant.

    ------
According to police, officers arrested 23-year-old Moses Trullio, who is listed as homeless in court documents.

Trullio is facing an assault and a weapons charge.

Restaurant employees say it's not unusual for homeless people to eat at Habibi's, and Khoury says they are always welcome to eat for free if they can't pay.

Khoury says that's how he was raised.

But Saada said that recently, the homeless problem has gotten out of control.

"I know all the owners here tried to talk to the city about the homeless problem try to find a solution, but nothing happened about it yet," Saada said.

Khoury plans to be back at work this weekend, as soon as some back pain subsides.
