He is just another above average guy.

If they can get something for him they should trade him to a contender - he is just not explosive, not making plays and too easily blocked these days.

Maybe a change of scenery will revitalize him....he deserves to play somewhere that has a shot at a championship that is clearly not here.

I'm amazed that he's still playing given all of the injuries. I expected him to retire two years ago.

Let him go finish his career in Pittsburgh with his brothers.

As much as I love Watt, he is the best player in franchise history. If we could get anything for him and let him go try to win somewhere I’d be happy for him.

I agree. I kind of feel like this is a similar situation to Garnett on the Twolves. He had been so good and gotten them to the playoff so many times but except for one year couldn't get out of the first round.

    Above average?

    LOL

If he is playing for the Bills now, people will say he sucks more that Mario and glad that we didn't keep him.

He should have retired 2 years ago.

No different than any other player on the team, the entire team is average to a few above average.

His reputation, and what he did for the city after Hurricane Harvey is the only thing keeping him around.

Yup...would be a PR nightmare to get rid of him. But with so many fans checked out it’ll be easier to trade or release him this off-season. It will at least get them under the cap.

Yes he is. Sort of sad to watch but his effort is the same as when he was a rookie. There’s no questioning his heart.

Should have 3 sacks this year, 12 a year.
Still an above average player if you can get a 2nd or 3rnder from a team that's contending, do it. Or maybe there is another team offering a slow aging in dog years running back?

He comes off the books at the end of next year I believe and he will be 33.

So he will either retire or play in Green Bay is my prediction.

I really want the Reggie White career path for him. Go to another team to win anything.

Man, this franchise has really wasted the talents of some really elite players.

Watt aint lit no more more. But still a decent player. He was never retiring in his 20's. Probably more like Gronk & Jason Witten coming back after cushy retirement.
Today though, his use is for a team thinking they're 1 piece away. Or emerging over-eager team wanting to change their "culture". NFL doesnt do in-season trades. Since this season is lost, probably best to not overwork him to not wear him down and keep value high

I remember someone here nicknamed him JJ Fatt before he declined. When Watt stopped batting balls down, I knew his prime has come to an end.
