COVID to leave Walter Reed for campaign trail tomorrow?

More likely to see his full health and immigration bills, and his full form unredacted tax returns for last 40 years than see him physically on the campaign trail again this cycle.

 

I think he will be back at it by Wednesday.

The only part of the presidency he likes is campaigning.

 

Campaign trail?? What will he do on the campaign trail? No one will want to be close to him for next 14 days without a complete set of PPE

So the 14 day quarantine period plus 2 negative tests is out the window?

Day 7 to 8 seem to be the most telling/dangerous in terms of symptoms. They really should wait at least a week. Even from a political standpoint, sending him out there to boast about beating the virus only to get hospitalized again would look really dumb; and catastrophic for the market.

He will be back on the campaign trail and his followers will not care if he is contagious. I am already getting emails from my partners asking why I closed the office for months if 74 year old Trump missed one day of work from COVID. His followers are claiming he is a warrior with toughness to personally defeat the virus in his body in a few days.

 

If he goes back out this soon, there's two narratives:


He's out infecting people AGAIN (because he can't be recovered after three days).

And


If we can treat the President and cure him, and all his comorbidities of this virus, why have we let 210k lives slip away?

 

I'm already seeing from Republicans the line that since Trump got this lockdowns and bubbles don't work and that it's not that bad.

 

Here's a prediction. Trump will be back on the campaign trail at the end of this week. He will get a minor bump in the polls but it won't make much of a difference overall.

 

I think he will be back on the campaign trail but will not receive a boost and possibly even a dip in the polls when people point out how he's endangering others.

 

And he will probably campaign on the fact that he has had COVID and Sleepy Joe hasn't so there is little fear he (Trump) will get it again while in office.
