That ive just started frequenting a few weeks ago to shoot pool. No one wears masks including me in bars. Anyway TABC was strolling Washington tonight and shut them down. Apparently bars can open with rules. I haven't been to many bars after reopening but no one wears masks
Are you the guy who beats up the main character at the start of the pool gambling movie because you got hustled.
So i didnt understand bars are still supposed to be closed. Im 45, im single, i need to find some way for socializing I like to shoot pool, i dont really go to bars much to hang anymore but shooting pool at bars allows me to feel im still socializing That being said i didn't realize bars are still technically closed. So we didn't have to leave immediately and talking to a few people, some bars on Washington just started opening a few weeks ago but not changing their setup to be under the rules. The main rule is if 51% of your sales are alcohol youre closed. So really i was hanging at Slick Willies Pool Hall and now understand why they could open I ride the bus or ride share. More young people are going iut. I went to Washington first because a month ago i was traveling through one night it looked almost back normal but apparently looking back to normal has brought the TABC hammer. There are more people downtown but only the restaurant with bars are open
Texas is averaging about 4000 cases and deaths a day and there is talk of opening bars as flu season approaches . What could go wrong?
I went to the strand yesterday with my wife. Wore a mask when ordering drinks at the bar, then walked back to my table outside and took the mask off. It was nice to get out.
Because no one else is quite simply. Im already at risk being there. Im more concerned about being around my parents later maybe I have been in one crowded bar on Washington. I was there about an hour,.Its a hookah bar and it was packed. I dont think it was a normal night for them enven that day of the week They weren't shut down last night. I talked to a door man on my way home
Masks don't protect you. They protect other people from you. If other people aren't wearing masks, they are putting you at risk. If they infect you, you can very easily infect your parents. I hope your parents are okay.
I know that bro I clearly wrote im at risk. That being said i wouldn't mind but if no one else is its really moot
Why not decide to just not go to a crowded bar, especially when no one is wearing masks? If u feel possibly infecting your parents is worth it, then do u I guess.
I won't be going to crowded bbars I wasn't intending to go there but a bunch of skantly clad women will do that
Washington Ave has been open and mainly mask free for months. Some bars got shut down in the beginning after the backlash, but many have reopened as restaurants that really aren't restaurants, but I'm sure auditing that takes months. Many young people just don't give a F about old people or healthcare workers. If the trade-off for partying means keeping old folks inside for another year, then so be it.
