He who has the referees in their back pockets, is the best. Here's your crown Lebron.

Any other answer in pure Homerism.

    No.

Anthony Davis would be standing around watching him iso, or running pick and roll to be a lob threat. Rondo wouldn't get to handle the ball much so wouldn't have the rythm or confidence to hit the threes hes hitting. Caruso, and Kuma would be sitting in the corners waiting to jack up threes. That team wouldn't have the same confidence and their defense would take a hit. Plus when Harden's threes eventually stop falling he wouldnt diversify his game. He'd keep shooting them.

reading this thread makes my brain hurt.

This isn't even debatable. Lebron is better than Harden and it's not close.

Harden is a loser on the big stage. That is also not debatable.

Is it really even close? Yes, James is a dominant SCORER, and a pretty fair passer, and he actually seemed to be playing pretty good defense in the playoffs, especially in the first round, but is Harden a lock down, put him on other teams best player no matter who it is defender? No. Until he is (and he never will be), this should be a really really short conversation. Basically, there are two sides of the ball, offense and defense, and James might even have an advantage on the offensive side, but there is no comparison on the defensive side.

The advanced stats say it is Harden

Flip Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook around and we would be in the Finals

Cmon man, dont go with the narrative stuff, you guys just think so little of Harden sheesh. This is absolutely not true. With Anthony Davis we win the chip handedly.

This though for the last few seasons I will say it isn't close in the regular season. Harden has been otherworldly the past 3 regular seasons. LeBron coasts a lot in the reg season. His defense is half assed most of the regular season also so the defensive gap between Harden and LeBron is close in the reg season.

It’s funny reading the responses here. Delusional homers try to have some excuse but trying to say harden is better while creating yet another laundry list of excuses shows you why everyone but harden is blamed around here

It's probably true that LeBron has been half-assing in the regular season. In that sense, the playoffs LeBron is the real LeBron.

The problem with Harden is that teams don't particularly game plan for him in the regular season, at least not as intense and detailed as in the playoffs. Once the defense zeroes in on stopping him in the playoffs, he has no other gear to shift to or other ways to play.

The next several WCF match ups are gonna be Lakers vs Warriors as long as everyone is healthy and LeBron is a Laker. I don't see Harden ever getting back to the WCF.

I wouldn't rule out Clippers, despite their fizzle this year.

And the Nuggets will only get better. Their core is just beginning to enter their prime.

It's depressing to know that we won't be better than fourth or fifth in the West for at least another season or two.

This shouldn’t even be a question. It’s Lebron hands down.
