Wearing helps Prevent OTHER people From getting the virus. So if Trump and White House staff and aides within the White House actually followed the cdc guidelines maybe this outbreak could have been prevented. But the thing with trump is he doesn’t care about safety of others or he would have gotten everyone to follow the guidelines. Maybe this will change things in the White House. We will see
If trump is incapacitated (ie, placed on a ventilator) then pence would need to be sworn in temporarily... this white house spokesperson says this hasn't happened yet... the white house doctors should be updating Americans (and the rest of the world)...

Consider that Trump has given a very large portfolio to Kushner. I don't know how well Pence get's on with Kushner is but let's say he wants to remove Kushner. Kushner is heavily involved with both sourcing of PPE and the MidEast. A lot of his work in the Mideast is based on his own personal connections to the Gulf States and Israel. If Pence tries to remove him he could poison those relationships by undercutting Pence but at the minimum Pence and whoever replaces Kushner would have to try to pick up where Kushner left off without Kushner's connections and knowledge. A transition of power even in the best of times. With the death of FDR it wasn't just a smooth transition to Truman. In fact Truman didn't even know about the A-Bomb until he got into office.

Same would happen with Biden winning. Probably better to have transition from Trump too pence and then pence to Biden due to animosity levels involved
We have heard damn near 7 months of people who contacted COVID be fine one day, then on a dime, they are on their death bed. Trump is in trouble. uh oh.
