So based on the breadcrumbs of other close GOP officials it looks like a lot of people who were in contact with Trump also are positive for COVID-19. Based on these revelations, it looks less and less likely it's a Trump red herring. Of course, his camp might have either seen these corroborating infections as a strong base for a hoax or they might all be in on it, but I don't think it's likely.

Pence would be President. They couldn't challenge him because he could simply remove them. I am not sure what kind of power struggle you are imagining. Jared would be gone unless he really convinced Pence to keep him. Their might be power struggles between groups but I'd imagine it would be less than under Trump who actively stoked conflict.
What about Canada. They are the neighbors to the north and have pretty much the same diet and pretty much the same demographics. Let’s compare them.

I pray this is an issue of non-medical people conflating Trump’s status because if they’re telling the truth Donald will be on a ventilator by tomorrow.
