The country has never been more divided. One of the two candidates is taking steps to bring it back together...
The current Democrat party is REALLY catering to conservatives. I don't like this trend for the future. I understand that it might be necessary now due to dire circumstances with Stupid Hitler but this country doesn't need a moderate conservstive party and a right wing party.
Biden is trying to run a unity platform. I think this isn't just to defeat Trump but that he believes this is needed to heal the country. Also as an institutionalist who maintained very long friendships with Republicans I think he would be doing this anyway. I'm absolutely certain there will be fights between moderates and progressives if Biden wins and the Democrats take the Senate. Biden and Sanders love affair likely will crumble not very long after Biden is sworn in.
I want to give a shoutout for the Sanneh Foundation. They are a good organization started and run by Tony Sanneh who is a former US National Team Soccer Player. I've worked with them on local programs and went Haiti with them a few years ago to help on programs they are working on there.
If I'm on the Biden campaign at this point I would turn down the next debate. Any damage from appearing weak for pulling out of a debate will be negligible compared to the benefit of taking this disease seriously.
