Luhnow will never get another FO job, not that he ever needs one. Hinch has a chance to get one as an instructor at first, and work his way back. You're not wrong about who knew and when. They are both uber guilty.
Luhnow was the boss and isn't well liked. He may not have explicitly ordered the code red, but it had his full backing. I would expect Hinch to get an official job in MLB sooner than Luhnow. Luhnow probably ends up at first as a consultant such that he helps a team, but isn't officially a member of a team.
It's one thing to criticize Luhnow for his PR nightmares, the cheating scandal, and just being a sleazy prick that wasn't liked in general. Criticizing him for the team's on-field production is beyond ridiculous. Yeah, the idea was to tank, and sure any moron can build a bad team to do that, but executing that vision and having it pay off with a WS is a whole different ordeal. The trick isn't convincing the owner, the trick is drafting correctly, and using the extra resources that come with being a bad team to actually turn said team around.

He’s playing for a private organization... the fact that they get the public to finance these stadiums is a whole different issue. I have no problem if people are of the opinion that they should be banned from pro sports... it should be consistent with all players who’ve committed similar transgressions, not just ones on the Astros.
