@BimaThug I just saw a video on YouTube that said the Rockets have only the 5.7 M MLE and the 3.6 M BAE for next season. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Zero chance rockets get anyone who moves the needle or improves. These threads are pointless. No way harden wins in this organization. best case rockets sign a shumpert equivalent and then board praises morey for coming up big again.
The Rockets will most likely be limited to the Taxpayer MLE (approximately $5.7M). However, the BAE--much like the Non-Taxpayer MLE--would subject the Rockets to a hard cap at the apron level. Hence, they will most likely not use the BAE.
House and EG for Myles Turner. Salaries match too. Sad to see house I’m trade talks, but he ****ed up.
C'mon @saleem you've been on here longer than I have so this team being screwed shouldn't be a surprised. This team had little margin for error when we traded for Paul and that margin went down to zero when we traded for Russ and gave Gordon an extension.
As the world is chaotic the Rockets seem to mirror reality. I have a feeling that Tilman will scare away players and coaches in the not so distant future.
I'm not surprised, but I'm concerned there seems to be no future plan in place. The best case scenario is to expect a good comeback from Russ in the regular season, and to trade him by the Feb deadline. I was against extending Eric Gordon.
I think the lack of long term planning is a direct byproduct of having to win now while Harden is still in his prime. One championship in the Harden era would validate not only Harden but all those years Morey used to build this team so looking ahead while Harden is on the team is almost pointless. We've been giving away 1st Rounders like door prizes.
Who cares about the Hard Cap if #Tilman basically has the LT as the defacto "hard cap?" I get the *flexibility* angle. But lets be real here.
I have faith that we can move EG and Rob for a dynamic 3rd player that will completely change the complexion of this team.
